Its hard to get out of the minset ive become used to. I cant help but think after last week, we'll get nothing today and hull will win. We'll go into the last game needing to beat villa and hull to not beat man utd reserves (Fergie finally getting revenge on AS for not joining him yadda yadda).

I think part of it is that Owen's game is built up on having a good team around him. There is no denying he is an intelligent players, often making clever runs off the ball. Trouble is, we seldom have players around him to take advantage of this. No doubt he is not the player he was, but I still think in a good side he can be a good player. But in a bad side (us) he is almost invisible.

If thats the case, why do most club put qualifying for the CL ahead of winning the league cup? I'll answer that for you. It's the status of your club. If you are in the CL, your revenue rockets, your status as a club increases and so on. Does winning the league cup do that? No. Dont get me wrong, I'd be over the moon if we won the League Cup, but you are plainly wrong to play down qualifying for the champions league.

Actually no. His punishment that year (iirc) was a UEFA Cup place and a canny run in the competition.

Well, I got a parking ticket and questioned the authenticity of the ticket. Seemed its a private company. But, and Im far rom an expert, but they might invoice you, as a company, but they cannot bind you to pay it as you have not entered into a contract with them. I think thats the case for some of these firms, not sure about all. Most of them make their money by people saying "its easier to just pay it" and they usually have a thing where its half the price if you pay now. they threaten with legal action and all sorts to bully people into paying. Not had a chance to post since the game. Cracking game with a great atmosphere. Few points: What was with the Boro fans singing about empty seats? It was 3mins before HT and a few had gone for a pint etc, other than that it must have been pretty full? Irony or what? Twats. Decent at times but very nervy at others. I thought we fucked around with the ball too much on our own 18 instead of getting rid. Lost the ball a few times there putting us under pressure. Harper was dodgy at times, sitting back when he should have come and claimed the ball. Viduka had a good game, very strong and held the ball up well. Best thing is its in our own hands. Last nights win was massive. Not just because it dragged us out of the bottom three, but also because of the phychological boost it gives the players going in to the neext game. Fulham will not be coming up here to roll over and despite a good display last night, there was still a lot to be concerned about. Its far far from over, but we're in a hell of a better position than we were this time yesterday. Bolton v hull is a tricky one. Hull will be fighting for their lives and dropping into the bottom may have given them a kick up the arse. I couldnt certainly see them getting a point there. Best thing we can do is get another home win. Much tougher ask than Boro though.

It will. A win tonight puts us on level points with Hull. I doubt we will get anything at home to Fulham and neither will Hull at Bolton the same day. So, we will go into the last game on the same points as Hull (or maybe 1 point difference). Last game we go to Villa and they entertain Man Utd who should have by then won the league. Dont forget what West Ham done.

Cant see past 0-0. Two teams struggling to score. This said, I reckon we'll be right up for it (players and crowd) and hopefully we'll get off to a good start. If we dont, I reckon the mounting pressure will go in their favour. So, I'd say at the end of the game we'll either win, or they will unless we draw. Pundits eat your heart out.
