For any of you lads and lasses who are vaguely interested in my music....
JawD replied to Asprilla's topic in General Chat
Listened to some and aye its canny. Until I listened to the lyrics of "Carry On". Were they wrote for today like? -
That prospect really really fucking bothers me.
-
You know what really boils my piss. When people, family etc, who know nowt about football and dont "really" have an interest, start asking questions. Im having to endure: "Have the results been that bad"? so I explain no, its because of the structure "So is it bad"? "Whats wrong with them living in London?" "Has he been sacked"? and so on and on and on. Theres me answering through gritted teeth.
-
That sounds pretty likely. Would be pretty funny like
-
Some to the tune of "My Old Mans a Dustman" would be a canny ditty. Could imagine Wise even finding it hard not to tap his feet (while sitting on Ashleys desk dangling his legs over the side) to that one. Our KK is the man He wears a toon hat You better not get rid Ashley You big fat fucking twat!
-
Trouble is though, I know Ill still go to the games, I know Ill still buy cup tickets. Its not like you can just switch off is it. Fuckers.

Oh aye thats it, go down singing Sack the Board and wait for them to chuck and ironing board out all battered. Idiot.
-
Been following this all day. I know its not confirmed but I just feel empty. I'll be well fucked off if he's sacked. I'll feel cheated, done over and take for a fool. I've tried to understand Ashleys direction for the club and bought into it, pretty much backing him and seeing the sense of it. I bought the three year deal on my two tickets and if this happens, I'll have been naive and a fool to believe we had turned a corner and rebuilding had begun. You think even out of respect for the fans they would give some sort of indication to what was going on, though they probably want to avoid a mass riot. These people need to understand that while it may be a business, to the locals its more than that. Its part of our day to day life and they are messing with it. As for Poyet, dont get me fucking started.

Wibble.

We need a "im going fucking insane with all of this bullshit" smiley.
-
Its unusual for much to happen in Jan like. Unless maybe we just ran out of time this window and try to kick start negotiations again then. I wouldnt be too hopeful of much though.
-
So how the fuck does he move then eh?
-
Aye heard the same thing over here now as well. Texts from a few places. Hope its bollocks. I would be gutted.
-
Looking at the window as a whole, I think we have brought in some solid players, and I think all of them improve our squad. So, like for like I think we have moved forward. Without perhaps any "trophy" signings that many crave, I think we have been cautious and yet seemingly quite clever in the players we have bought. While I dont know much about Xisco, if he is the quality of the other players that have came in its only a good thing. Plus he's young. The downside Id say was squad size. While player for player we have improved, we did have a small squad. We still have a small squad and we do still have some dead wood that needs moving on. In particular Shola and Smith. But, with Owen (who I hope sorts his contract out soon), Martins, Viduka and Xisco I think we should have some good options up front so Shola and Smith we may not see much. Geremi is slow but can be a good squad player. Barton I'm willing to see how he gets on. He had a lot to prove to me when he joined, though he started to look good at the end of last year. I think we need to forget all the shite surrounding him (though he will get a ban anyway so will be out of the squad a while). So, maybe not what we hoped, but a step forward either way. Time now to get behind what we do have and press on. Also, we need to ignore whats going on at other clubs like City and just get behind our club. I still think top 8 is possible if we are not hit too hard by injuries and that would be improvement over last last few shambolic years.

We work half days on Mondays. So thats it. All done.
-
Do footballers get a book of one liners that they quote throughout their career?
-
Barton supposedly said he doesnt want to leave newcastle as he feels he owes the club and its fans for sticking by him yadda yadda yadda
-
All gone a bit quiet on our front. Something might still happen with Barton, but I reckon I'll leave it and see how unimpressed I am on waking the morra.

Decent part of town to drink would be around the central station heading towards the tyne bridge. Avoid the big market like the plague (unless you want to catch the plague) The top end is good for day time drinking I reckon. Cheesy night club would be on the quayside (gateshead side) where you have Buffalo Joe's (to start the cheesyness warming up) and then on to the club opposite which I cant remember the name of. Count yourself lucky the boat has gone or Id have sent you there

You fucking shit Jonny... I should take your admin access away on the basis of this. How the fuck do you stop it? got me hook and sinker there. Twat Had to ctrl+del to close the fucker

Our best forward. Fact!

And think yourself lucky Alex isn't here. Aye, qualifications served you really well

Bloke come home from work, table is set, candles, wine for her, a beer for him, the lights are dimmed. "Whats all this?" he asks his wife "dont you remember last night?" she said "you came in, stotting drunk and asked me He looks and there are two plates. Hers, a nice steak with all the trimmings, and his, all the trimmings and a steaming sock "Eh? yeah I know I had a few more than usual but....?" "You came in, said your usual "a *hic* love yoush pet" and then added "cook me sock" before falling in a heap!"

You can't predict late bids. Who'd be stupid enough to sign someone who's about to get at least a 10 game ban? Or knowing he had an impending court cause coming up?
