I think its fair enough to think the kid has some talent based on the amount of money that is being spent on him and the fact he was rated one of the best if not the best player in the under 17 championships. Not saying this is always the case though. But sometimes its all we have got to go on.

I think he's about the same stamp as Barton tbh. I think both are probably a tad overrated. nolan scores goals too though and can play further up the field. barton reminds me a bit of jenas and parker. is he a defensive midfielder? is he an attacking midfileder? i don't think even he knows tbh He only managed 3 in the league this season. I don't if he was maybe playing a more defensive role since the arrival of Anelka though. his return from midfield is pretty decent...better than most of our 'attacking' midfielders 01-02 Bolton 8 Goals, 35 Games 02-03 Bolton 1 Goals, 33 Games 03-04 Bolton 9 Goals, 37 Games 04-05 Bolton 4 Goals, 36 Games 05-06 Bolton 8 Goals, 36 Games 2 Goals, 7 Games (UEFA Cup) 06-07 Bolton 3 Goals, 31 Games I agree, just pointing out that this season he was not at his goal scoring best.
