  1. I did wonder that a while ago but I don't think so. I think it could be, which would be a shame. I presume this Vic is an ex poster like the mythical Thompers? I found this place from Rivals recently and started using it more as it seemed more level headed without debates resorting to slanging matches unlike over there. Still, looking at sammy I guess I might have been wrong...
  2. And why are you even bothered, I wasn't even replying to you? My post, no? So why are you annoyed at me for pointing out Crouch is 4th choice at Liverpool?
  3. Because I know we all want to talk about Owen The bairn won't be happy at not having Nicktoons on, but she can lump it. Apparently a nice 9 degrees C over there tonight.
  4. seconded What's a matter with Crouch as the head of a 4-3-3? Unplayable in the air, excellent link up play and proving a good finisher with Liverpool. But for Owen? I'd still wager on Owen scoring a lot more no matter the system. That's my thinking aswell. If we were trading up then maybe, but we certainly aren't at the moment.
  5. seconded What's a matter with Crouch as the head of a 4-3-3? Unplayable in the air, excellent link up play and proving a good finisher with Liverpool. Theres nowt wrong with crouch as a player - i just think that a club with a billionaire owner, an ambitous manager and the clubs obvious potential could do better. What like Liverpool?!?? Who have dumped Crouch down to something like 4th choice striker. Yet was above Bellamy in the pecking order last season, things change though and just because he's not highly thought of at Liverpool anymore now they've changed their approach to games to accommodate Torres doesn't mean he couldn't be an excellent signing for us and Allardyce's preferred tactics. You can't see any conflict there? Liverpool change their system to take advantage of a world class player, but you want our world class player shopped so we can buy one of their cast-offs to fit a system? I'm not convinced on Alardyce's insistence on 4-3-3 either, I thinks he's been flexible. anyone: Hey look Rico that pot there is black! rico: fuck off no it's not, it's pink! anyone: but Rico, it's a black pot! rico: it's fucking pink I tell you! Mate at the moment you'd try and pick an argument in an empty fucking room! I could just call you clueless like Baggio, would that be better for you? Last time I looked this was a forum... And why are you even bothered, I wasn't even replying to you?
  6. Still got to get the fucker in the air, unless you plan on taxiing all the way to the gallowgate end! I was assuming that because the captain does it from his seat there can't be a wall and door can there? Given you've never been on one, you're assuming quite a lot there. Hence the question marks I shall defer to the knowledge of someone who has been on one. Have you?

  9. I recall Dyer committing to Allardyce on an England camp late on in the summer, and I don't recall any mention of Barton over the departure of Parker.

Baggio is a complete pragmatist though.
  12. Considering both Dyer and Solano wanted to leave, and not many clubs wanted them, I don't see Allardyce had much choice. Using your preferred method of selling before buying makes it even harder. And I seem to remember Dyer even saying he was up for working with Allardyce when he arrived. you have to look at the players he replaced them with though. i'm glad he sorted the defence but dyer and solano haven't really been replaced in terms of what they brought to the team. maybe barton will go some way to improving our creativity but we're still short on pace and vision in midfield now those two have gone. I'm not saying he hasn't replaced them, just that Allardyce didn't get much chance to do it, especially if you believe Baggio that he was selling to buy and had other priorities. My view is that Allardyce isn't actually wanting direct replacements for either.

  14. Has anyone flown on those little 20 seat island jets? Apparently the captain does the safety briefing from his seat. What's to stop you rushing him then? And these are jets, not light aircraft, you could take out a whole stand with a well aimed run.
  15. Because he won't play 20 games in a row or because he's from Chester?
  16. He played for City since he was 15 so he might aswell be. Otherwise it makes the article look even more ridiculous doesn't it? Well done for trying to come out of that well. Momentary memory failure granted, but like I said, it makes the article look worse if you can apparently switch allegiance between Liverpool and Manchester but on no account care for England because you're northern.

There's a London to Australia bus now.
  19. Where does it mention about Northern footballers? Northern cities yes, northern footballers, no. I think it's a good article myself and, from what I've gathered from reading posts about England on here, pretty spot on with it's assumption of fans from Northern cities footballing bias. The insinuation is that because Owen was born away from a northern city (not that Chester is that far from Liverpool anyway) he thinks differently from the northern fan, and because Joey Barton is a manc he has the 'northern attitude'. Well you can't get a more dyed in the wool northern football fan than Gerrard. It's pap.
  20. Northern footballers? Compare Gerrard to Joey 'one cap' Barton and that article makes no sense at all.

Have you used it before? I used it recently and they have a more modern fleet than national express. I would say apart from the no drinking and extra time taken, it's miles preferable than the train. And at 10% of the fare, what more do you want? I couldn't see a difference in class of passengers either, unless you are in the habit of travelling 1st class by train. You don't get some arsehole getting on halfway through the journey claiming you're in his seat, and you always get a seat rather than having to stand inbetween carriages.
  22. From that it looks like you wouldn't even get a weeks worth of sarnies. Not even a half rack of ribs either, you'd have to kill the whole lot for a half decent barbecue for 4.
  23. In these image obsessed times, people don't trust anything without a 'brand identity' - hence why you see people go to Maccy Dees and Pret a Manger instead of local shops that can be cheaper and have nicer food. But you frankly cannot blame supermarkets for their closure, it is obvious that people prefer them so they can't complain. The only thing to complain about is council planners who allowed rampant self contained develoment, and do not think about 'joined up shopping' - why go to the high street if you are going to get ass-fucked by a traffic warden or be forced to ride a bus with some addict, drunk or charva and his mobile disco. But that is a more general planning issue where the only new building is houses in self contained estates, with no regard for new local shops etc. The irony is that China of all places is planning complete self contained cities with agriculture and farmers markets integrated within the fabric of the city, what are we doing? bulldozing the greenmarket for more bloody clothes shops for twats to buy designer their jeans from.
