He could have all the heart in the world (not that Ledley doesnt) and it wouldn't make up for the fact he is a one paced clogger. rio, king and woodgate have class and can win the ball, pass it out of defence and they are good on the ball. all terry and carrager do is throw themselves at the ball as a recovery challenge, constantly get lucky with how pens aren't given against them and they have no pace

Great pace and good distribution. Add to that a fantastic heading ability and a great tackler and you have the King. A fucking gazelle on steroids when he was fit. Terrible shame injury has slowley ground him down. Woodgate, Ferdinand, Terry, and even Carragher are head and shoulders better than King ever was. Fair enough not just them have to get behind them but it's called the singing section for a reason. Forrest Gump tbh Charles frustrates me so much. I know so many on here rate him really highly but he is so inconsistent and like Martins has no football brain whatsoever. Aye give him a ball at his feet and tell him to run with it (or credit where its due hes not scared to have a shot) but his crossing is inconsistent, he fails to play the obvious (and often simple) pass all too often and can't tackle either.
