Makes a bit more sense why she blogs behind the image of a man' s outline.... although the shadowed face should be a fair bit longer http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/sport/2008/02/...o_get_mone.html -

Could be her i guess.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/wear/content/image_ga...allery.shtml?31 Definitely sexy but no -
Can't quite come up with 3 DVDs, books, albums, but I'd definitely take 'War and Peace,' as I didn't get any further than about page 20 when there was the smallest possible distraction. Being on my own on an island with nothing to do for years, may get me as far as page 100 or so. p.s. could this be wor louise, seems a bit too coincidental, and she's a real hottie!!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/wear/content/image_ga...allery.shtml?31

I'd like to open up to debate that 65-43 does not equal 18 basic arithmetictastic :revelling in pedantry: Table says different though, doesn't it?? Torres won't like this one bit - shows that Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal are away on their own and it definitely is a top 3 rather than a top 4. If you're going to include Liverpool in the bracket, then surely Everton are in with a shout and claim it is a top 5? Highlights how close we actually were to the other end of the table - Spurs as well for that matter. Reading are far too close to us. If KK had been here all season you could conservatively add 12 points to our tally. 'What ifs' are pointless tbh. KK wasn't here all season and therefore that's what we've ended up with. Over the period of the past 9 months, Everton were 18 points better than us - that's not even open for debate. If they're in the same position after the summer, remains to be seen. I'm hopeful the gap will reduce but then we've been saying that for the last 5 years.

Great video. Wish I'd been a bit older at the time as that was probably only my 2nd season properly watching the toon as a kiddy - and we didn't have sky, and pre-internet, it was pretty much taping MOTD or getting up early on the sunday (i think they did the sunday am repeat back then) and of course reading Match and Shoot. Jonny, where do you get your clips from? Have you just got most of the official newcastle tapes/dvds, or are you more cunning than that? To join the debate, although I wasn't really around for Cole and Beardsley, its a bit unfair to say that Cole relied lots on Beardsley when you could say that Ferdinand relied loads on Ginola and Gillespie, and Shearer (in his later years) relied loads on the pace around him in Robson's team. I also think that Shearer suffers from the fact we saw him play on for us probably 2 years too long (as the main focus of our attack). It says a lot when I would have preferred to see Kluivert and Bellamy have an extended reign together up front even when Shearer was fit. The other strikers he's being compared with were pretty much at their peak throughout their time at newcastle in successful teams. For me, I just love the front 4 of gillespie, ginola, shearer, ferdinand, as I don't really think there's been another team whove played so well with 2 genuine wingers and 2 powerful strikers (plus they whooped united and spurs). But thats probably influenced by my age. 2 questions: 1/ with the caveat that it woudn't have made a big difference to our overall performance, are you guys glad that shearer played on and got the record, or would you rather he had less goals, but bowed out before we saw him struggle 2/ when asprilla came in, how did our team adapt to him coming in. were there injuries, or was someone who had been started dropped. oh yeh, to whoever asked the song is 'my sacrifice' by creed. a much loved song by video makers, and rightly so cheers

hey guys, was wondering if anyone else used to read either match or shoot magazine around the glory years of 95 and a bit onwards. I remember they used to have ridiculous articles about asprilla based on him and his guns. The thing which bothered me (provoked by seeing the excellent sir les tribute video) is that I remember that one of them (it was probably shoot) had an issue with an interview with sir les where the front cover was a picture of him with "past the post" written somewhere, and in the interview he said something about the squad throwing themselves into the tyne if they didn't win the title. There's random back issues available on ebay and the like, but I couldn't find this one (or the interview). Anyone able to remember it more vividly (i was still relatively in my footballing infancy) and or give me a more specific date, or better yet dig out their archive and have a look. Dunno what it is, but as the years tick by find myself looking more and more at the enjoyable things of childhood and regretting getting rid of various magazines, sticker albums, and old videos. Could waste days on end watching childhood cartoons on the internet/dvd. Cheers p.s. I do realise my first post (if anyone remembers, it was the old sugar puffs adverts) was taken as me taking the piss. It wasn't meant to be. I just found it really funny (maybe ironic, but i'm not sure) that the new management had brought together keegan and wise, and they had rather unexpectedly come to newcastle... and we were in need of a decent striker. Oh well, i guess its each to their own

The crazy panicky restructuring all makes sense to me now. It is all clearly a ploy to bring the next Shearer to Newcastle at the expense of Man Utd. Keep things hush hush, or this could be one of the most obvious cases of "tapping up" in football history Keep the faith, as our new signing is guaranteed to bring silver ware back to the promised land.
