Some of this stuff arrived yesterday, tried the jacket on and it fit nicely, felt cosy and of a pretty good quality. Then I had a look at the front and the Castore logo has not been applied properly so instead of saying Castore it says rASTO. Shockingly poor quality control. They're offering a 25% discount which I will probably accept as I can't be arsed sending it back and it will likely only get worn during the colder games of my football season. If only I could figure out how to remove the rest of the letters.

Everyone should just drop "Qatar" when referencing it and just call it the World Cup and only comment on the games from now. That said, it is quite humourous to point out how shit a job they are doing which further shines a light on how poor a decision it was from FIFA. The England team are pretty tolerant of various pants, but apparently draw the line at flares. Fun fact: It's not the width of the pant that is a concern but rather the exponential nature of their widening.

Imagine being so filthy rich that you want to buy hosting rights to the biggest sporting event in the world, not so you can improve the international perception of your country, not for the betterment of your country, not for the people of your region (because you're routinely in disputes with them including several active ones), not to leave a legacy for future generations (because the additional infrastructure is almost exclusively temporary or semi-temporary), not even because you're enamoured with the sport or to honour the tradition of the sport in your country (you've never qualified for the World Cup and your immediate neighbour, with whom you're in a lengthy dispute with, holds the upper hand over you despite having roughly half your population.... but don't fear - your team has remarkably improved in very recent years, wholly unrelated to the fact that near half of your players aren't from Qatar).... but rather so that you can have some sort of smug satisfaction about forcing people to live according to your rules and about the mere fact that you were actually able to buy it. Went to three games in South Africa, including Australia getting punished by Germany.
