Merino read the play well but his passing was atrocious. Hayden was without glamour in the championship, in the PL so far he gets a participation award just to keep his mam quiet. Perez is never a #10 though the weight on the ball for Ritchie's shot was just right. We need some true quality in midfielf to lift the likes of Ritchie, Atsu, Murphy and Merino. Shelvey too l suppose, but that moron is in my bad books currently.

I can opt in or our month to month so may get it for a while if there's any meaningful action in the market in the next week and a bit. Otherwise might just skip it and save myself the stress* * possibly kidding myself about being able to do that

For sure. Leadership and a bit of backbone. Mitrovic should be out there for the latter, no one else in our squad has that sort of edge. I'm hopeful that we'll get some of it from Lejeune. -
You pay for Foxtel surely, is your beef that it's only the premier league on Optus? Did you watxh any other leagues on Foxtel prior to last season? I'm watching on the Optus free trial currently, trying to decide if it will be worth paying $15 a month. Based on the quality of the service so far I would say it's worth it, based on the quality of our play not even close.

Merino is defensively better than Hayden based on that showing. He could partner someone else there and be effective if he makes better decisions with the ball. By effective I obviously mean limiting the number of goals we're defeated by.

I agree, Atsu has been as bad today as he was good last week and Ritchie is having an irritated game, they seldom end well.

Yeah, Gayle is waiting for balls that aren't coming with the way we're playing. Very sloppy passing. Agree that Ritchie could come off, give Murphy a run. If we're actually going to look after the ball perhaps make room for Joselu or Mitro.

Good to see you taking on the big issues in classic Noelie fashion. The merry merry king of our bush down under once had a gay life but times change and words are reappropriated routinely. There's no reason not to have this group I say, so if it makes any supporters of the club feel more comfortable then I'm right behind it (because I'm a pitcher not a catcher).

I've recently bought a road bike also, and a bunch of the gear too. Padded bib pants are a must. Only just switched over to cleats and after the last ride had sore knees and cramping/pain in my right foot. On the GPS front I have a samsung gear fit2 that came with my phone that is reasonable. I bought a small cheap Lezyne GPS so that I could have a HUD showing speed, distance etc. It's a bit clunky to interface with Strava (have to connect to a PC to upload the ride and then it syncs) but for starting out it's perfect.

I'm clearly not a proper supporter, I've only seen us play in the flesh once and I've just been in it for the immense numbers of trophies we've won over the last 20 odd years. Now that the well has dried up I'm going to move on to the next big club, anyone know any Middlesbrough songs?
