Agree with that, however the threat (of an injury recurrance, and similar impact related injuries) with HBA is greater. Opposition outfields (with a hatchet-man) will set their radar on him, due to the fact that when fit he is the 'key man' in the final 1/3, particularly in the hole where he is more vulnerable to the attention of a loose playing defensive midfielder ie. De Jong. We have little to offer in the form of that ability, to shift the focus away from him. With the likes of Man C and Liv, the attacking threat is more widespread Sorry but you don't buy a Ferrari to park in the garage and catch the fucking metro. Point is when that Ferarri has just had major extensive work done and been off the road for some time you don't want to take it out for a fang on Nurburgring without a few more km on the odometer on some more friendly drives.

  3. It's not. You print it out. Every club appears to have one - even seen a Boro one, a Derby one etc. Link them Here's the Derby one Here's the official Link for Newcastle Not so sure about Boro tho...
  4. Saylor/Raylor comes without thinking now for me Legitimate reason for those. Obertan didn't have a very good game, but wasn't horrible. It was encouraging to see our players trying to take advantage of his speed sending through balls....err... through. Could defintely do without the flicks, and with some more defensive resolve, considering his size he should be better at using his body. What I find most annoying is that most of the time he seems to be a complete space cadet in his own world, like there's a disconnect between him and what's going on. Hopefully that's partly because he's only young and it will improve with maturity and experience, the latter he is definitely lacking. For the time being it seems that to expect any consistent quality from him is asking too much. He should be a much better player than Routledge based on ability, but not in application. Hopefully having the more mature, quality French midfielders will help to get the most out of him, but in the least he'll be a handy player for counter attacking and taking advantage of teams who play a high line in defense. In some ways the pace is frustrating because quite often he'll waste the extra bit of time that it buys him by making a silly decision (whether with the ball or when trying to win a ball).
  5. aye but then wolves are a bunch of dirty cheating bastards who deserve every "bad" decisions that goes against them just for karmas sake Was just thinking the exact same thing. Tottenham game should be a very good opportunity to give Ben Arfa, Marveaux and Santon some time on the pitch. The first two in particular I think didn't feature today because Pardew wouldn't have wanted to risk them - hence why we saw Lovenkrands and Guthrie out there today. I was disappointed today with Tiote and Cabaye not able to wrestle any momentum back our way in the second half. Their substitutions really made a difference - when they ran at either Simpson or Raylor my heart was in my mouth every time. Krul MOTM from Jonas.
  6. Great result for us, far from a great way to get it. Wolves can feel rightly aggrieved for multiple decisions. But 3 points in the bag for us and still in the top 4.
  7. The amount of possession they've had in our box... And the number of balls quizzing through it is crazy. Thankfully Krul is having a blinder.
  8. Remarkable that they didn't score there. Wake up call hopefully that this game is far from over.
  9. In realtime that from Simpson didn't look a penalty... Did a little when slowed down though. Just hope we don't concede before the half time whistle (or after it for that matter)...
  10. Saylor mighty lucky not to concede a penalty there. Krul would have saved it anyway...
  11. Jonas you beauty. Great run and placed left foot shot... Goal!
  12. Jonas a little unlucky not to score there from Best's cross. Their keeper knew nothing about it.
  13. Simpsons crossing has been woeful.
  14. Wonderful save from the deflection there. Then equally good block from Raylor of all people.
  15. Great header for the goal from Ba from a well taken Cabaye corner after Jonas took on his man and won the corner.
  16. Downing was shit for them. How much did he cost? He was restricting Enrique's play as well. As soon as he goes off Enrique is able to make a proper overlapping run, is fed the ball by Bellamy and subsequently sets up a goal.
  17. Enrique cross for Carroll goal. Better for us if red dippers win.
  18. That sounds fair enough. With HBA and Marveaux we have a few good options for playing out wide who are now available.
  19. They're two points off the top of the league. Have a sook. If they're not promoted I'll be very surprised. I'd enjoy it somewhat, mainly for Allardyce's spectacular failure, but even with him they should have enough.
  20. Feel free to concoct whatever you like for what I've said there bud. Anyway, Pardew seems intent to see what he can get out of Obertan so he's at least being given a good run which is the most you can ask for.
  21. What's more important than where the gross position of the team is, in my opinion, is an analysis into decisions made at the club since that time. There has been a lot of at best questionable decisions, in addition to the complete and utter fuck up that was Wise and the treatment of Keegan. The subsequent relegation cost the club a huge amount of money and caused massive damage to the club's profile. Elsewhere in the world nobody cares about Newcastle United, with the exception possibly being France where we somehow seem to still have a strong profile (a more likely explanation is that France is one of the few remaining decent European leagues where wages are much lower than those at Newcastle). Otherwise we've slipped completely off the European radar spare the odd trip into Wales. There's some factors where we're currently ahead, but reasonably just as many where we're behind. There is definitely an underlying feeling that the current good run against admittedly moderate opponents could be papering over some deficiencies. Certainly in terms of injuries we're travelling well at the moment, but should that change we'd quickly be relying upon unknown entities. The key is that with decent ownership and decisions from the board we'd be well ahead of where we are now, and considering the circumstances involved that is unforgivable.
  22. Just thankful that he's playing well and not continually being beaten by his man. Certainly not needlessly tuning the ball over leading to us conceding. You'd be surprised with the calibre of left back that are knocking down Pardew's door begging for a chance, but as it is, with Ryan playing so well he's got no choice but to play him.

Agree with that to an extent, but as he's not fully match fit and won't start we have the luxury of getting a feel for the way the game is going. Certainly Wolves are one of, if not the worst for dangerous physical tactics so caution has to be excercised when it's virtually a certainty that they'd look to physically impose themselves on our more talented players - like Ben Arfa.
