  1. Thanks Ant, will have a look tonight and report back with my findings. Yeah I tried brightening the screen!
  2. Cheers Bobby, I'll give it a shot when I get home from work! That didn't work....any other suggestions??

  4. There's seems to be some technically savvy folks on this forum and I wondered if anyone could help me... My laptop (PC) switches on but nothing happens (if that makes sense?) - as in it illuminates the keyboard and the processor fan starts spinning but the screen doesn't illuminate. I think the hard drive is where the problem lies - there's a little indicator light which usually flickers - it doesn't do this anymore. I'm wondering if this is something that I can fix myself, or if it's not even worth bothering with and I'm better off buying a new one - either way I thought I'd inquire on here rather than shelling out 50 notes at PC world to be told it's fucked. Any advice appreciated.
  5. Submarine - really liked it but not gonna be everyones cup of tea. 8/10 The Lincoln Lawyer - enjoyable tosh if you can see past the always piss poor Ryan Phillippe (yes he's even worse than Matthew McWhatshisface). 6.5/10
  6. i liked it but the tv series is better Never seen the tv show, but I enjoyed the film very much. Crowe is always much more palatable when he's playing a schlub, rather than a genius or historical hero. I was also a bit annoyed with the ending which seemed to The TV series is for my money the best one-off British mini series I've possibly ever seen.
  7. He wont have done much to improve his situation by doing that! What an idiot especially when he might have even got in the team due to injuries and suspensions. Does the red card mean he can't play in Premiership matches - if so thats 3 matches he will miss. Though then again he may be no loss and don't think he even made the bench against Stoke! Though the reserves lost 2-1, Michael Richardson scored, think he might be a good prospect for the future. Just out of curiosity....how many proper gingers have made it to be good or class players? I can only think of Paul Scholes. Alan Ball?
  8. Mate we will be fine...do you honestly think we will get relegated with some of the shit below us? No chance. We have however made it hard for ourselves but we are Newcastle after all. Whether I think we'll be relegated or not is irrelevant - it wasn't the point being made. The point is that we're most definitely in a relegation scrap (whether we escape from it or not) but you're refusing to accept that? I admire your optimism, but there's 24 points still up for grabs and we're only 4 clear of a relegation space. We're undeniably in amongst it. Amen brother, would like to think we will pick up the necessary points but in this bizarre season - who knows? Only time (and results) will tell...Howay the lads!
  9. Ryan Taylor can breathe a sigh of relief, safe in the knowledge that this makes him integral to the managers plans...
  10. What is in the basque dressing? sounds interesting! I'd have to check the bottle but its got espelette ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Espelette_pepper ) garlic, olive oil and various herbs. Its basically spicey / herby oil that you can marinate meats / fish with or lob on a salad with a bit of vinegar added (or i do anyway). That sounds spot on that does! Will add it to the shopping list this weekend!

  12. Yeah they usually send you an email but generally takes them a day or so. I've had so much hassle buying tickets on there this season it's unreal and I even fell for buying a fooking membership - waste of money that was, although I did get a fairly nice keyring
  13. Probably! I don't like the panelling across the chest on the away/3rd kits, and not a fan of the 'cupcake topper' badge on any of the shirts. I just want something simple, classy, slightly retro and as said above with a small white patch and red numbers on the back (like in the early 90's). Is that too much to ask?
  14. Piledriver! Quality from junior CT that like I wish I hadn't watched that. I know the scrote got what he deserved, but it didn't half look like it hurt. This is why I've never watched the serbian snuff videos in that other thread. Bit of a difference like HF! There's nee way I wanna see that serbian shit but I'll happily watch the little twat get smashed!
  15. http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/news/104843...ound-for-Europe Guessing we're the Prem team then...
  16. Piledriver! Quality from junior CT that like That's class, fair play to the big lad like!
  17. Saw DJ smurf do a set a few weeks ago at a night on in the Barron and Baroness, the place was canny dead, que my pilled up mate making his way to the dance floor and start booling around like he's holding a neumatic drill. Cannit beat a bit of dutch gabber! Fucking hell that brings back memories! Remember the Gabba room at judgement day? was basically a cupboard with about 6 pilled up maniacs and me in there!!! Going ape shit to Smurf & UEP, class!
  18. Every away game I've been to has had fantastic atmosphere and excellent support. You get a lot of the passionate supporters and a lot less of the silent minority.
  19. Was that with someone called Howie Dj'ing? And MC Lee. They both played at Havanna's and then the Arena in Boro. Those two clubs were the best in the history of the north east, it wont please anyone to read. Better than the colosseum? Wasnt there an outdoor event down that way called Butterloggie or summit aswell, vaguely remember the name but before my time... They were in the Boro then moved to Sunderland iirc. Was just about to mention the colosseum!! Never went myself but I did own a few mix tapes.
  20. Looks like it's never been out of the packet, except to get signed by Terry Mac. Imagine the state of his Star Wars figures collection!
  21. Forgot all about that place, used to spend hours down there buying records/ tapes and adding to my flyer collection when I was a youngun! haha!! I wallpapered 1 entire wall of my bedroom with rave flyers (the rest were papered in film posters) Used to buy loads of them tape boxsets that looked like early 80's VHS's!! And was the proud owner of a few of those T-shirts with that little blue wizard thing on them!!
  22. You're the first person I've known (except myself and the then Mrs TS) who was at Plexus. I was beginning to think I had dreamt them all. No it definitely happened! there were a few other similar things I can vaguely remember going to, Tsoma I think one of them was called and there was one at Northumbria Uni - think it may have only happened once and it was called Red Eye or something like that??? I went to a few at Northumberland too. Far better atmosphere at those events than anything I've been to in London. To be fair I was about 15 when I was going to them (30 now like) so it's kinda hard to gauge it. I have had very few really top nights out in London and these days I dance less and spend my nights trying to get my dick wet!
