He might well have done in the US, it just wasnt released in Europe

Yeah artists get paid now, what a bunch of wankers. Dont start. Facebook and Google on the other hand... 'dont be evil'? dont make me laugh.

'Botch job' nearly as informative as Gemmill's 'its clunky' critique. The level of innovation between now and 2 years across the mobile market? You could argue there has been little of note in the last 2 years. A bit of forgotten history for you http://news.consumerreports.org/electronics/2008/04/send-in-the-icl.html

The innovation was in the design and functionality. What a strange (or narrow) way of looking at innovation. The man who invented tom toms for cars gets no credit because he didnt invent the satellite?
-
Google didnt invent Android. So what?

I can access all my apps from any machine. I can access iTunes match today, not next year or whenever. It took no time to set up, it takes days to upload to Google, all my old mp3s are now the same quality as on the store. This is something i can do today and you dont know when you can do it. When are we getting Pandora in Europe? When Google Play comes to Europe i can unsubscribe to match and change to that, only then will it be worth debating if its any good or not.

"Less focus on skeuomorphic design choices"

No one mentioned groundbreaking, it was the innovations around 'touching' not the icon itself. The touchscreen costs billions of investment to develop and a lot of effort to get right. All that was copied too.

Like with Google Play, how would you know if its any good? Gemmill http://appleinsider.com/articles/12/06/26/apple_launches_new_podcasts_app_for_iphone_ipad.html Dont know if its better than what else is out there, as a user i cant imagine what services i am missing.

The new podcast app from Apple is superb Gemmill. You'd expect that from the company that gave the media segment it's actual name though
-
so how good is Android on a mac then? I have no idea what you even mean by that though, are you referring to Apple's closed system? As I don't think monopoly applies to any of Apple's markets. Sorry I don't think, it just doesnt.
-
Jessie Ware is lush. Enjoyed the Alt-J album too but the Django Django album for me.
-
It isnt slow on a iphone, ipad or a new mac though, its super sharp. Its slow on my 2007 macbook but thats tbe. Its shit on a pc for a reason.
-
Listen and buy loads. Apple has more choice and is cheaper than Google (although Amazon can be cheaper).
-
the value of good punctuation, right there.

Sure and for the record i dont think Apple is the best solution i just think its very very good and a few extra euros per year is neither here nor there to me. As an infrastructure its fantastic, i am surprised to hear google's music cloud will be free but that probably reflects the business analysts perspectives on the tech industry rather than the end-user. A lot of analysts think Google is already dead because Apple has monetised everything and Google is still working that bit out. In business thats all that matters in the medium term.

So it wouldnt be available on your tablet then either? Sure? I find the iTunes store is best on the macbook, more features, drives you to new music, access wish lists so i manage all lists (smart ones) in itunes and then on the plane it was on my phone, in my hotel room on the tablet. When is it planned to be released in EU/RoW? I suspect it may be like Pandora etc.
-
The price scale doesnt work that way. Its 6 times as much for the 'discoverability' of new music. Which is fair enough iyam, not knocking their business at all.
-
Its not available here, how do you know it works? Is your whole collection really there? Is the streaming reliable enough for public performance etc?
-
So i can buy a few albums, shut laptop, get in cab and listen to them offline on the plane without syncing anything?
-
And is how many times more expensive than Match?
-
Why would anyone want to grab a song on a new computer? Google Play isnt available in Europe and is limited in size where it is.
-
I dont understand how Spotify works then, do you store your entire music collection inside Spotify?
-
So for the browser yes but for other apps too. I know google has a cloud service but know nothing about it, does it live update contacts, diaries all that sort of shit. Spotify is not iTunes match.

There is not a lot between the 4 and 4S phones but one thing i can categorically say as a Blackberry user is that nothing they have even beats the 3G, nevermind the 4.
