Aye, the problem with public funded research is the public pays and private industry profits, which is what is forever ripping the heart out of public research. If you can't deny the truth, flannel for time, and hope it goes away. Brilliant response actually, as it perfectly characterised itself.

Yes ewerk. Generics companies are all run by lawyers, their CEOs and Boards are all patent lawyers and Legal eagles with no experience in clinical research. The generics companies make money out of the healthcare system without investing one single dollar back in. The fair comparison to the 3bn euros figure mentioned would be the expenditure on R&D in Europe since 2000 by the pharma industry. Around 80bn maybe? That story is based on the cost estimate in the first paragrpah which was estimated in a study run by the European Generics manufacturers association. Which basically means fop is propagating the views of Lawyers who head up high profit margin healthcare companies who invest nothing in health. Well done Chompsky.

Is that because the IQ of a labourer is pretty low or was there something that told you I was? Nah, i know your a bright lad, theres no doubting that, i just remember you saying you were out of work then mentioing going to the capital for short periods, i just assumed it was construction for some reason.

Economist by trade, I now head up Pricing / Reimbursement / Market Access for our Oncology business in the European region (around 44 countries as it includes Israel, Russia etc). The Viagra thread should tell you which company. Nice job that Stevie. Dont take this the wrong way, i thought you were a labourer.

If it happens anywhere, it will be the UK, if history is anything to go by. Personally I'd be against it as impotence is an early sign of cardiovascular disease and probably needs to be checked out. I suppose they could do buy one Viagra, get one Simvastatin free deals mind. You want a job? $$$'s As if i'd offer it to you Chompsky. I don't need to be a snake oil salesman. Viagra really does make your cock hard though, i can attest for that personally. Couldn't go on your bike for a fortnight I heard. Nae need to talk about our lass like that.

They sell it in clubs because a side effect of ecstasy and cocaine is erectile dysfunction but you feel horny. We're trying to take it over the counter in the EU at the moment but the EMEA are not playing ball.

Fop, I reckon you're a bit confused as an individual. On the one hand you rail against the power of the state and then on the other against the power of the corporation. Libertarian Socialists may exist in many different countries, doesnt mean they arent all confused about the world; they believe as an individual you should be free to act as you please just as long as you dont get together with like minded people, form a company and make money. Chomsky et al love to argue that liberty and equality are not in conflict but then none of them have stepped outside of the lecture room to observe the real world and when they do and they dont like what they see (communist Russia), they call it 'fake socialism'. 'Idealist Muppets' imo just like the anarchist communists at the heart of anti-globalisation protests. Are you just another Chomsky clone or have you actually read the early french anarchic philosophy on which he bases his views?

Exactly right - couldn't give a toss if we spoilt their march to the title - fact is it was a rearguard action against one of the best teams in europe and we came out of it with a point - JFK could spoil his way on a good cup run and i wouldn't knock him for it. On a point of all this negativity - what if he knows what he is doing and unearths some low cost gems from the lower leagues and europe? get rid of the shite overpaid players and bring some hungry aggressive types for me - his track record was nothing short of astonishing at wimbledon - fuck me we used to get cuffed every time we played down there - i am keeping an open mind and hoping for the best Thats a big if, like the thinking about a cup run though. On the Wimbledon note, used to love going to the away match in the late 90's, was always a cracking day out, 9000+ iirc on a couple of occassions. Usually a shit result though. I remember trying to get into Stringfellows with me mate after one Wimbledon game, got knocked back obviously so claimed i was Warren Barton and i was meeting the rest of the Newcastle team later that night inside. Escaped without getting chinned surprisingly. 15,000 that day Tino scored the free kick, there's no way of that 23,000 crowd less then 2/3rd were us, Sunday live on SKY too. The Stringfellows incident was another game, we still filled the whole of the east stand and some of the north that day too. Only Man U came close to the numbers we used to take there. Think we lost or it was 1-1 that day. Funny, i can clearly remember my mate standing on the escalators at Picadilly singing 'Peter Reids got a fucking Monkey's heed' at the top of his voice and then legging it from the Underground staff but have difficulty with the score.

Nice to see one of our defenders getting some recognition anyway. I couldnt quite put my finger on why i thought he was a cunt either, i just knew that he was. That'll be one of the reasons why.

Talking of best in da league, Patrick Barclay (who is admittedly a cunt) reckoned 'arguably' the two best full-backs in the league were on display at SB on saturday, Boswinga and Beye.

Watched the match online, wasnt bored for one second of it. Fucking loved it in fact.

Only in the hysterical world of internet threadery does Tiananmen square become equated with 4 coppers in Salford getting access to a Tazer gun.
