I know they're going for maximum exposure/global brand etc, but this seems fucking idiotic given the context of the current season.
I can't imagine Howe is thrilled.
That’s fucking ludicrous- 5

Off to see the Black Crowes at the City Hall in May, Tom McRae at the Cluny in September and Jason Isbell at the Stockton Globe in November. Probably could have had a week in some shit hole like Benidorm for less.
I remember getting tickets to see the likes of Alice Cooper and David Lee Roth at Whitley Bay ice rink for just over a tenner back in the day....
Doing this tonight..as you can see not cheap…Got two tickets £50 each from here on Friday…

So apparently you can live stream continuously to your YouTube channel throughout the game 😑
Second encounter with this individual this season. First was when we were boarding the flight back from Paris and he held up2/3rds of the passengers trying to get on the aircraft to stop and greet some Newcastle fans already seated. It was
a bit like when a member of the Royal Family stops and speaks to the crowd behind the barriers

Miley started nearly 14 games on the bounce at 17 having barely played a full first team game so it’s quite possible he was more in need of the rest.
You’d imagine NUFC sports scientists will almost certainly be telling him that -

That’s before we had a defence leakier than CTs bladder.
We usually give these a decent game, we did in January tbh

2-1 @PaddockLad to rifle one in from 30 yards in the 89th minute before blowing @thebrokendoll on the centre circle in celebration.

Just to say am also in attendance and my travelling companion isn’t nine years old or the child of my first marriage (copyright P Simon 1985 ) it’s @thebrokendoll and we’ll be going north in both hope and expectation

The expansion of the tournament ironically, rather than the format itself* has created the elite players being concentrated in fewer clubs.
*appreciate that’s a bit chicken and egg, but there used to be two group stages the last time we were in it.
Yeah and that expansion was just “more games = more revenue”.. a bit like next season’s planned nonsense fest but just a bit less so… good luck with all that Villa- 1

So the team with the theoretically better players have won? Very interesting...
Perhaps they were clubs with vast experience of the CL at all levels of their management? 🤔 no one, including Howe, Staveley, her manservant and Ashworth(less), at NUFC had ever recruited for or had other involvement in a champions league campaign…. 😑

Some people should really get a grip. What they want isn’t a different manager but a magician. Appointing the ideal and flawless manager is a rather difficult if not almost impossible task. For every Guardiola and Klopp there dozens of ten Hags, Pochettinos etc. Big names in the wrong environment can be pretty damaging as well.
I can’t see a manager who would really be a guaranteed upgrade on Howe who has actually done a remarkable job so far overall. Speaking about the need to replace him is utter nonsense imho.
I can agree with that as a general view but there are some specific things Howe is responsible for. Why have we persisted with trying to play the high pressing game this season with mostly a knackered bare 11 supplemented by players half fit returning from injury? It doesn’t make any sense to me and that is entirely down to him. A glimpse v Wolves that playing on the break more could yield success but that was jettisoned last night…. -

tbf that shite physio wanted Botman to get surgery on his knee and as time is going on, it's looking like he was probably right. That decision seems to be the measuring stick a lot of our fans have used to determine his shitness.
He may well be a shite physio on top of this though
I think there was or is an overall policy to avoid invasive surgery as much as possible… -
This is where the lack of a DoF will trip us up.. if Howe gets the whip hand on what players come in this summer and he gets sacked in November then that is a massive problem..

Howe was brilliant at Bournemouth…. until he wasn’t….
its this second part of his tenure where the perception that he can’t coach a defence comes from
