  1. not agreeing with someone doesnt make them a fucken idiot £10m on a centre mid and nothing on anyone else is ludicrus, i'd rather go with what we have, that will be good enough. Oh no i am a fucken idiot like Kinnear who wants to blow his entire budget on a centre mid, how does that work., you cant liken me to Kinnear just because you dont agree with me. Joey Barton and Obafemi Martins will will be key just like last season, full backs will shore us up better at the back. We're not going down, we are good enough to stay up, even with a mere 2 signings, it's a question of how comfortable we make it for ourselves, i guess i am a fucken idiot for thinking so though. We're going down unless we spend £100m and replace everyone fast, lmao. Our full backs keep costing us goals, fix that first and foremost. M'Bia £10m, dont make me laugh. Not being able to spell Fucking on three occassions in one post doesn't make me think anything better of you.. Being a bit elitist there aint ye.Tbf being able to spell correctly isn't necessarily an indicator of intelligence, especially on a pc where spell checkers are readily available, more an indication of education(programming could be substituted here). Its the ability to take in what you are being fed, memorize it and regurgitate it.
  2. I've been saying this about Martins for months. But we do need at least one midfield dynamo in the middle who can impose himself. at the moment we have a lightweight and an old man who gives the ball away constantly. Agreed; but someone who can see a pass and execute it. Give our forwards some ammunition.
  3. Do you think it's 'cos they been sat on the coach too long?
  4. Yes but he'll lose 20-25m TV money at a stroke. He doesn't look too worried about it,at least not enough to get his hand in his pocket.
  5. A Depressingly good piece. "we said hello to Pingel, R McDonald, Fereday and a host of others that still make Mags of a certain vintage wake up in a cold sweat almost twenty years later." If Ashley doesn't sell in the summer then despondency and sleepless nights are our future.FFS someone pass me the Ludes.
  6. With the net assets of the club being worth less than £20M I think you have to assume that Ashley's £200M investment is based on future tv/internet earnings which dwarf ticket/merchandise.....especially once you drop out of the top flight. Asset stripping just isn't viable for a Premier league club where all the value rests upon your position in the table. Is it? I think conspiracy theorising credits Ashley with something other than incompetence, which i think is a stretch. incompetence or asset stipping either way we are fucked. As i said tho, i can't see how anyone who can make the money he has can be that incompetent. The whole footballing world knows the shit were and what needs to be done about it.So why does he just sit there doing nothing? That can't be incompetence,i don't know what the fuck it is but its not just incompetence.I don't believe he is just burying his head in the sand either,so i'm at a loss as to second guess what the fucker is up to. How does Boris Johnson end up in charge of London? How does Gordon Brown end up in charge of the UK? How does George Bush end up in charge of the US? I'm being faceatious, he's clearly an intelligent and talented businessman, but he's made some tragic mistakes at the club. Mainly appointing Llambias and backing Wise over Keegan. I honestly believe he'd be willing to spend the money, he's not sat in a swimming pool of money rubbing his hands together, he HAS spent canny sums in previous windows but I don't think he'll pay for anyone. The club has sunk so low, there's not a manager or player that would want to come close, even if we offered full whack....and I thought we'd reached our lowest ebb on that score after Allardyce went. just edit that bit

  8. I am going along this avenue of thought because its beggining to look like Ashley doesn't give a fuck about this club.I can't believe a man who has made that much money can be a fool, yet he is acting like one in the way he's running this club into the ground. This leaves me with the, hopefully wrong, conclusion that the fat twat must be asset stripping. What better way, least path of resistance, to offload your best players than with the excuse "they are not willing to play in the 2nd division(championship). He knows if we drop down and are pushing for promotion he''ll still get crowds bigger than most prem teams. This would give him the chance to build on his academy players, blood them in the 2nd division(champ) and then sell them on to the clubs who have ambition. All the time pulling in premiership size crowds and the massive revenue the faithfull will spend on merchandise. I hope i'm fucking wrong!
  9. In 2006 the club had £16.7M of net assets (land + players etc. minus debts), that was down from £56.1M in 1998... http://www.nufc-finances.org.uk/ I think the only land would be the stadium and academy, but I'm happy to be set right. This is from the Newcastle United PLC annual report 2005. Not sure what has happend with this since then but the casino bit sounds right up Ashleys street. Joint Venture with MGMMIRAGE. Newcastle United Plc has a joint venture with MGMMIRAGE to develop the area above St.James' metro station subject to certain matters. Newcastle upon Tyne must be designated as the appropriate place for a regional casino; the joint venture project must be selected as the appropriate site, and all applicable planing and licensing consents must be obtained. The proposed project would comprise a major mixed-use development including the regional casino. That fell through. Do NUFC own the land though and could Ashley try to resurrect it as i think planning permision was alresdy in place?
  10. Ohhh Nooo we're gonna get stuck with him he wants his payday.

  12. He's got no choice but to give the kids a chance Wise and co have seen to that.
  13. A friend of mine told me that NUFC owned some prime lots of land when Ashley bought the club, can anyone tell me if this is true?
  14. If Kinnear had done his homework he'd know that the previous managers were fully aware of that fact but got bugger all backing to correct it As a couple of us have said, if you read between the lines, that's probably what he's getting at without actually criticising anyone at the club by saying "my chairman's incompetent and has a history of incompetence spanning several managers, not just me". Thats fair enough you may be right but then to say i might spend all my money on one player is just fucking crazy.
  15. on the beach. Looking for young lads
  16. He could lend us it out of his piss-up fund
  17. Tell him if he doesn't get his hand in his pocket were coming to fucking Landon to protest inside his fucking drinking holes.
  18. A must win game and i see that as a game we can and should win.
  19. He's got a plan and he's stubbornly sticking to it.Whatever IT fucking is
  20. Same here. When i was going to SJP in the late 70's and 80's the atmosphere was amazing and you couldn't fail to be touched by the passion. The last 15 /20 years they have sterilized the game cleaned it up and made it safe for the middle classes, tried to price most of the fans out of the stadiums so the MC's could use them as a kind of status symbol to impress their friends and business colleagues. and in doing so took the heart out of the game.Personally i prefered the old days of crumbling grounds, flying debris and players who wanted to play for the club.
  21. Hull and Stoke away;without investment i can't see us getting much from those games. The stoke game is after a difficult run of games and if confidence is low added to any injuries we may suffer it will be difficult to get anything from that game. There's a lot of winnable games left but if we have no fullbacks and the shitiest midfield in the prem then very few of them look winnable.
  22. I totally agree with you there. He has steadied the ship and altho we have had some recent poor results we have got better than what we were like a few months ago. I'm sure im in a very small minority here but i believe he will prove himself and once he is given a chance to have his own team we will see a vast improvement.i may stress this is MY OPINION!!!! Do you think Ashley will give anyone that chance other than Denis fucking Wise?
  23. You've got Hull away as a draw I bet. Won't happen. I had us finish on 39 and yes i had Hull away as a draw.If we don't invest in this window then imo we'll struggle to get 38 points. When i did the BBC predictor i did so with the optimistic belief that we would bring in at least a FB and CM.Even if they were only on fucking loan.
