Thought it would be interesting to see the age range of posters on here.

Paid my one and only visit about 20 odd years ago. There was a serious accident and I think a young girl from Whitley Bay had fell out of a high ride. I remember there been these massive spots shining up onto the ride and there was blood or flesh?? on one of them. Dont think I ever found out what the outcome was for her. Put me off fairgrounds for life and makes me feel sick when my kids go on rides.

I don't think Parsnip has a say whatsoever in any transfer, in or out. He's the coach i.e. coach the players whoever they are and has to either like it or walk. As Harry Redknapp said he was yesterday. These days it seems to be the way of the world that managers only have a limited input into transfers. A meeting will take place where the money men and the manager draw up a list of requirements for the coming window. The scouts then try to find players to fit those requirements. Another meeting will then take place where Im sure the same "committee" agrees which ones to move for. There will be the odd exception to this scenario but I would guess not many.

Really. Its surprises me because from what I've read to date, the problem with the Barton contract was more about Bartons relationship with Llambias / Ashley and what he's said at talk-ins and in the press. This seems to imply its scumbags that they really have a problem with.
-
Interesting to read Luke Edwards saying today that NUFC may consider re-opening talks if Barton ditches McKay.

Im afraid I think all I'll be good for is.......

Its also moody as fuck at the minute, hardly one pleasant post today. Stevie's photos and stories being the exception to quite an unpleasant atmosphere. People need to lighten up, i would have thought the new signings would have perked people up a bit but it seems to have had the opposite effect. Funny that. Well said Chez. I have to agree, not enjoying myself much on here lately, I just have a quick read then off again as so many threads turn to bitching. To be honest I think most of the bitching is directed at one or two individuals and those individuals are delighted because of the amount of attention coming their way. In other news I made a pasta sauce today and it was fucking rank. Personally I think thats a load of bollocks in my case and certainly in TN / Deanos case. Even in the case of Nick, whose posting style I find odd, if you dont like it, dont reply. Some people however do seem to want to discuss his threads with him so what is the problem? Either dont go into his threads or if you do and dont like what you see, leave. Its dead simple. If you really want to avoid a poster the ignore option covers everything so there is no need for people like Gemmil asking other posters to tell him to fuck off. There are loads of threads that come up on here that dont interest me so I stay clear. I dont jump in and slag them off. Lets take Jusoda Kid, chasing me all over the forum like some jilted ex. He doesnt start interesting threads, he doesnt contribute to football or general chat discussions, he's just here to wum. Whats the point? The problem is that when you have a few of the more established posters acting like tits, you then get every johnny come lately thinking thats a great way to go on leaving you with a bitch fest in 70% of threads which just bores a lot of people. I really dont understand it and its probably just the way some men like to be on the internet but ffs.....Everyday, same bores spoiling it for others. I use ignore against other posters, posters use ignore against me. Much simpler than making everyone else suffer the same petty crap, day in, day out. I like the different range of opinion whether its Tiotes positiveness or Tecatos nervousness, however it seems some dullards would much prefer this place to be a very bland world. And no, I aint going to waste another moment today discussing this, the above is fairly self explanatory. Rant over

The ones who are draining this place these days are the likes of you who have absolutely no interest in Newcastle and just want to derail every thread into a bitching session. If you want to respond to someone respond. If you just want to bitch, get some gay friends. If they piss you off that much, put them on ignore. Its quite simple. I totally agree with Toonraider and Chez that the bitching on here is getting way out of hand. The good old piss taking that used to take place was quite funny. But these days it just seems like a group of 6 or 7 have no pleasure on these boards unless they are sniping. Sadtastic.

A fantastic day out at the North Yorkshire Show. When the heavens did open, the nearest Marquee was the real ale tent so absolute result. Totally knackered now so a hot bath, a bottle of Show bought real ale and then just veg on the sofa. Hope you all had a good un.

Only that there are some pretty decent "how to" videos on the net about it that I found in the usual places when I was considering it a few months back. Basically it's 95% ground prep and 5% laying. If you can, reseeding a new lawn is a better idea and will give a much better, stronger finish.

Hope all the dads out there are having a good one. On the road to the North Yorkshire Show in a 3 car family convoy listening to my Rock legends CD!!!!! (it was a joke present off my eldest ) First Hog Roast off the day should be consumed within the hour. Have a good one.

You really are a miserable depressing cunt.

In that case CT, im jumping on your bandwagon, go team positive!! Just make sure youre there to save your followers from the wrath of those who predicted doom, if that is the case next season. A wise move Harry, I have a feeling we will be getting very full.

The real bottom line Harry is that we won't know until the end of the season. We can therefore have to make a guess when the window closes based on how we feel about the changes. The optimists will get carried away, the negatives will predict doom by Christmas and the truth will be somewhere in-between.
-
I don't detect that much optimism when you and tiote nutz aren't posting. Most of us are cynical about transfers, given ashley's awful track record. While it's encouraging that we're doing business early in the window, most of us won't get too carried away until the window's shut. Until then, there's always a chance he'll sell more senior players without getting in adequate replacements. Strange, I said all that about seeing where we are when the windo closes in my post as well.

What does proven mean? Lots of players that came here over the years that Wernt proven in the prem.

A no brainer this one. Of course 10 years ago we had higher standards and of course the last 4 years of MA has lowered expectations. We've only just fought back from relegation and the most anyone was praying for last season was survival. That's a quite different mindset and set of circumstances to a Liverpool fan. All that matters to most on here is whether we start next season stronger than last. That we won't know til August for definite but I still think that apart from the hard core "haters" most fans are quite optimistic by the new incomings and the speed with which we are attacking this window. And rightly so.
