The point was to have some discussions about formations for next season given Pardews inklings for 433 and the various opinions on whether it was likely, whether we had the people to play it and whether it would give us a more exciting style of play.

Can see this being more likely now given Cabaye and the other irons in Le fire. Surely Charlie would see playing with these lads week in , week out as a possible way into the full french squad. Easy to forget he's only 24 as well.

It would be nice just to make enough progress with personnel to allow some of the young uns to get proper loan deals / experience, particularly Ranger.

Theres a feeling being portrayed by some of the media who regularly cover Newcastle that that solid team spirit etc that got us through promotion and last season was so to speak "getting a little bit big for its boots". Following on from Joeys outbursts against his employers in March, they may, unknown to us (or Pardew) already taken the decision to wield the axe and break it up. Hence the lack of contracts forthcoming. I hope im wrong and this can be resolved, but Joeys not doing himself any favours trying to take on Ashley in public. There will only be one winner.

my guess is they wont be selling their top top (bale, modric) players but more their second rate players ( pavlichenko). i dont see them becoming alot weaker. how are they financially? Stories already in the press tonight that Fergies after Modric. Wouldnt be suprised if they went for Bale as well. Natural replacement for Giggs. I dont agree with you that Spurs are finished like mate. I think saying thats a bit foolish like. Whats to say that the money they'd get for Bale (35mil) and Modric (25mil) that we wont go and bring in you cheap talented players from the continent like ourselves.
