  1. What is the actual appeal of New York? Done the florida thing a few times but never seem to understand what blokes see in NY.
  2. What a picture Not a chance monkey, weights lashing off.
  3. He's here, he's there, he's every fucking where.....Ji Dong Won, Ji Dong Won.
  4. Just been to the local shop for a nice packet of Richmond irish recipe sausages. Just fancy a good old sausage sarnie with tomato sauce to start the day.
  5. Can't see Ashley touching this with a barge pole. A new loan deal or look elsewhere.
  6. Video of contestants here http://www.heatworld.com/Entertainment/TV/...-Geordie-Shore/
  7. Esland went on to say....... "In the next few days the Club will be announcing a 'money-can't buy' prize competition for Club members to enter. It really will be a once in a lifetime experience for the winner and all we can say at the moment is that you will need to be free in July to enjoy it"! ????? Trip with the team to USA or a five year contract to play up front? http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20110427/un...2281670_2347849
  8. Injured again according to twitter. This time for the season with an ankle injury. Hope we can set up another loan deal rather than a purchase. (if at all)
  9. Don't quite understand. You've paid three years up front and got a further 10? But sury your deal must be frozen as well?
  10. I've renewed without taking the 10 year deal. Isn't it just the same price? And if so, what is the benefit in not taking it?
  11. Good to hear but can't understand the 10% to have renewed but not taken up the 10 year deal!!
  12. If only running a premier league football club was the same as paying slave wages to 12 year olds in the philipines. If you think sports retailing is so easy you had betterexplain to JJB where they went wrong. And if you think Sports Direct is one of Britain's most successful businesses then you'd be utterly wrong Try Vodaphone, BP, GSK, HSBC etc. I've worked on bigger products than Sports Direct. Its a chain of tatty corner shops, not a flagship of British industry. Steady on old chap! SD is still a very successful retail operation that is totally bucking the trend in the UK at the moment. He has also been very shrewd over the years at buying once famous brands and exploiting their worth. Not BP but a bit of credit where credits due.
  13. Agree with most of that. At the stage we are now, my expectations for the summer are finding 3 or 4 players who will walk straight into the team. Granted they may not be world beaters, but they will be vast improvements on the likes of Shola, Best and Lovenkrands. Our cup is currently running over in midfield and in goal so a decent enough left back comes next. I don't think (with the money at our disposal), the above should be too much of a challenge.
  14. On the other hand they sacked Hughton who was performing above expectations, replaced him with someone that's performed no better, sold our best player, got into a slagging match with Shearer, failed to sell ANY of the advertising space they claim to just be showcasing with Sports Drect, moved thousands of fans who didn't want to move, jeopardised the atmosphere in the ground going forward, screwed up the renewals process so badly no-one even has a clue if they've received our applications or not and announced massive losses in their accounts. Is my glass half empty? Yes
  15. GDP figures for the first quarter of this year due out in 15 mins. Will Osbourne have reversed the minus growth? Will it be time for a new chancellor?
  16. and then you said this. Okay, you use the word 'expectations' in 2 different ways, I can see that. But regarding the use of the word 'expectations' in the FIRST way, what should our expectations be? We should expect to challenge for Europe. We should expect to challenge for the two domestic cups. We should expect to fight to keep our best players and to sign players that demonstrate an ambition to improve. None of this is rocket science. As none of the above has happened regularly in yours, your parents or your grand parents lifetime, why should we expect it?
  17. Apart from some more dramatic tones, that's not a bad appraisal. Some fans realise that success at Newcastle is a very rare commodity and has been for the main in 70 years. Our ride under KK was a blip not the norm. Those who see it as the norm or "our right" or however you want to describe it, are the ones who will constantly have this negative outlook. Those who accept it was indeed a blip can more easily return to being an also ran yet still get enjoyment out of following Newcastle. Unless the new financial regulations have a big impact (which I think they may) or a sheik buys us out, then there is no prospect us really competing with the Top four anytime soon. I would also note that my outlook A is a 12 month outlook and I do expect us to start next year stronger than this and perform better than this. Newcastle fans should know better than most that it is all about the "team", not individual stars. So how is any of that A grade. You're predicting a C grade future and ranking it as A grade. I suppose my scale was like this.... D = relegation C = relegation scrap B = mid table mediocrity A = notable improvement all round from this year.
  18. Both correct IMHO Sometimes it's better just to say nothing at all Craig

  20. I predicted promotion from the championship, you predicted relegation. I predicted a good first season back, you predicted relegation. I am predicting a good season next year, you are again predicting relegation (or a scrap at least). "history" with regards to predictions, is on my side. The rumblings I think are all in your head.
