I think most who have being around here a few years no different and that your obsession with other clubs, their cities, their fans and their message boards verges on legendary. Your English is fuckin pish, which marries well with the points you try to convey. It's funny that you assume knowledge of football and other football clubs must exclusively come from the internet . What is also telling is your lack of desire to discuss anything from years gone by. If you went pre Keegan I've got a 12 inch cock. What's knowledge of football got to do with this discussion This was all about your statement that your interested in no other club than Newcastle. ( usual rant and rave bollocks ). With regard to pre keegan games.......Dear me! How old are you?

Sense and stability at NUFC Pardew a step in the right direction Carver a good move Good players signed up on good contracts Ben Arfa made permanent no more silly money on journeymen 4 points off the mackems still on course for europe all good Yeah all good. The thing is though, it's a mediocre season by our recent(-ish) standards at the same time. So you're basically having a pop at people for not caring about the things you listed (FA Cup, Europe, etc.). That in itself isn't accurate though since, although we all do care, we've just accepted this season as being successful in the context of the expectations we had when it started. Which is exactly what you must be doing in order to be so pleased with the way things are going. Not true. Some people are genuinely uninterested in the things I mentioned. And all this "squads not big enough" baloney is bollocks. Ofcourse we will ALWAYS want better than we have, to use that as an excuse not to want to progress in the cup or get into Europe is very sad. The club is blatantly rebuilding and blatantly in a better position than when Shepherd sold it. I want to be in every cup and qualify for Europe. And all this talk of survival is rubbish as well. Never mind the ifs and buts, if anyone on here still thinks we won't survive, then say so.

Saved me the hassle of saying what I wanted to say. The cheek bit too all of this coming from a mid 40's bloke who lives a Rory Delap throw from the Stadium of Shite. Fuck Sunderland if some Sheikh bought them tomorrow and won them the league next year, I wouldn't give a fuck if we came 4th top. The difference between toon fans from proper Newcastle areas i.e The Toon, parts of Gateshead and North Tyneside, and other toon fans from your split areas is, we don't give a fuck about what they do, we rarely encounter mackems, we concentrate on the toon fuck every cunt else! How many other clubs message boards are you signed up to.

Does anyone know what the actual paid up current membership is?

Gobsmacking to hear some saying they are not bothered where we finish compared to Sunderland A bit more understandable for the out of towners, but not locals. We are well and truly safe, have no chance of being relegated and anyone who thinks differently is simply mad or too pessamistic for words. I keep hearing things on here such as..... Not bothered about the FA CUP Not bothered about the league cup Not bothered about Europe Not bothered about finishing higher than Sunderland. What are you bothered about?????? Sad, very sad.

Once the next 8 games are over I think we could not only be safe, but also have overtaken Sunderland with a five point cushion. I have tried to temper my optimistic outlook with a view to potential results. Sunderland Blackpool A 0 Chelsea H 1 Stoke A 1 Spurs H 0 Everton A 1 Arsenal A 0 Liverpool H 1 Man City A 0 Giving them 38 points Newcastle Spurs H 0 Fulham A 3 Arsenal H 0 Blackburn A 1 Birmingham A 3 Bolton H 3 Everton H 3 Stoke A 1 Giving us 43 Points Its fair to say that following these 8 games, their run in looks easier than ours so it could be a photo finish for Top North East Team.

David Jones says that Cardiff said "NO" to a premiership club re Boothroyd. Perhaps explains the "give up" on a forward statement. Looks like we have had a few near miss's over the first two weeks which indicates there is some money there for the right deal (s). Could bode well for some late end of window deals. -
Not enjoying the draw today. The chance of doing the double and closing the gap snatched away so late on has left a very bitter taste. I also think had Shola knocked that really early chance in we would have gone on to give them another pasting. The next game cant come quick enough for me.

Thing is like, they're not going to get into the CL and the Uefa Cup is barely worth the bother. I appreciate there are mixed feelings over this with fans, but for Steve Bruce to be able to "deliver" european football would be seen as a great achievement for him.
-
Unless they have something special lined up, it seems a stupid move given their current league position and possible european challenge.

Fan 'tries to make Harper apology' (UKPA) – 18 minutes ago A teenager alleged to have shoved Newcastle United goalkeeper Steve Harper during the Wear-Tyne derby has reportedly tried to apologise to the player face to face. The 17-year-old Sunderland fan, who has been bailed after Northumbria Police arrested him following Sunday's 1-1 draw between the bitter Premier League rivals, was said to have turned up at Newcastle's training ground on Monday. Harper was not at training but a club official was there to hear the teenager, accompanied by his father, make an apology. His father was said not to have slept a wink and was "mortified", a source said. The insider said: "His intention was to apologise to the manager, the club and to Harper. He sat down with a club official and he could not have been more humble and full of remorse." The teenager was arrested after he ran on the pitch and was later released on police bail until March. Northumbria Police said inquiries were ongoing. Newcastle United declined to comment on the apology as the club tried to draw a line under the events at the Stadium of Light. There were ugly scenes after the final whistle when opposing fans hurled seats at each other and, during the game, referee Howard Webb spotted a miniature glass bottle which had been thrown on to the pitch. Northumbria Police said 33 arrests were made before, during and after the match. Officers held 24 Sunderland fans and nine Newcastle supporters. It was a repeat of the trouble which happened last time the two sides met at the Stadium of Light in 2008 and incidents will be reported to the Football Association by match officials. Sunderland bosses vowed to take "appropriate action" against fans who caused trouble at the derby.
