Well done for finding a link this time. He actually says in the link “a no deal Brexit would be disasterous”. Extra tarrifs would be their red line.
-
Alas, he should know by now.

Listen, you said she’d agreed to a border down the Irish Sea. She hasn’t. As for your waffle about the fudge fudge in December, I suggest you re-read the 3 paragraphs on the backstop as she doesn’t agree to it there either. As for your last point, we haven’t had the vote yet so you haven’t been proved right on that either. I suggest a couple of paracetamol and an early night x
-
No need, they’ve probably already got the wording ready to go.
-
I think Shes heading for a withdrawal agreement with lots of carefully crafted text around the backstop followed by the bluff calling of the ERG and DUP. For all the noise the ERG make, they seem unable to muster themselves to take any action.
-
You said she’d agreed to a border down the Irish Sea, she hasn’t agreed to it once.
-
Link to where she’s agreed a border down the Irish Sea. You’re telling porkies.
-
Lots of serious faces on Tory front bench
-
No she hasn’t.
-
If not for the DUP a special deal for the island of Ireland sounds as though it would be a good stepping stone to a United Ireland?
-
Wait til the deals actually done. Boomtime baby (And not a Renton Boom).
-
Imagine if she says we are just stopping in.
-
Same Sky correspondent now retweeting this so who knows the truth.
-
But that’s what you asked me about.
-
???? Barnier and Raab are the negotiators hence why they’ve had their rushed meeting this afternoon. According to Sky it’s now gone back for May to deliver to cabinet on Tuesday. If they agree it’s party time for May on Wednesday in Brussels. If she’s given too much away then it’s tits up Tuesday.
-
I said the chequers deal is better than a cliff / what we have now.
-
Lets not re run the refferendum argument.
-
Who else do you think is going to agree it first other than Barnier and Raab?
-
Yes
-
Politicos twitter account
-
Politico reporting withdrawal agreement completed and agreed.
-
Not really. It may piss off the ultra remainers, who lost (let’s not forget) and the ultra leavers who want WTO, but the vast majority would be happy with a chequers style arrangement.
-
The chequers plan is hardly a cliff.
-
If May pulls this off then she will go down in history in a churchillian way. Personally I’ve been swayed more towards the Canada +++ but I’d settle for Mays compromise. She has indeed (from her perspective), tried to put together a version of Brexit to appease the the whole country.
