Im not sure what calorie deficit means. My fitness pal tells me to have no more than 1500 a day. That was based on no exercise. -

I know it flies in the face of my reputation, but the majority of stuff I eat is fairly healthy and cooked from scratch. My downfall is a love for a bottle or two of wheat beer or leffe on an evening 3 or 4 nights a week and sitting all day long in a taxi. I’ve basically piggy backed out lasses slimming world routine for 5 years which was very good for cooking from scratch but shit for sticking to portion sizes. This may well be another false dawn (particularly as I don’t like exercise), but given I’m hobbyless I’m hoping to buck the trend. The running, if it does come, is definitely a while away. My knee can just go. I’ve dallied with my fitness pal before but it seems much better now and the scan feature is quality. It’s certainly making me consider what’s going on my plate. I even weighed out salad cream on my salad. -
I don’t understand the fascination either. My best guess is it’s not the Labour Party as such, more some of the membership it’s dragged in over the last few years and some of the shadowy figures in the background who have risen to prominence. Cant say I remember much of this from Labour under Blair, Brown or Miliband. Just a massive own goal for the party given everything else going on that people actually care about.

I was at the gym last night (induction) and the guy was pointing out all these various weight type machines that he said were just as good for burning fat as the cardio machines. I’m going back to see him to learn a bit more as they are quite overwhelming and I don’t want to be that guy on YouTube using machines the wrong way. The arthritis in my knee and shoulder make running and some machines troublesome and I quite like the idea of some kit at home that I can use when I can’t make the gym. (I start early and have kids clubs etc). Ive read that gently building the muscles around the joints can help with arthritic pain. Even after a few days I’m finding the calorie counting very informative. -

Are these sort of things ok for covering all angles? Bear in mind I’m mainly interested in losing weight and generally improving my limited fitness. -
Having his cake and eating it has caught up with him .

8 years later, countless diets and one pound heavier. Have decided this week to take some action. 1. Started calorie counting using my fitness pal. 2. Joined a gym 3. About to buy an exercise mat so I can do these “7 minute workouts”. 4. Drinking lots of water. Hoping twinges of arthritis in one knee and one shoulder wont complicate the gym too much. -
As I stated, I was conveying what I’d read earlier, not copy and pasting. I find following decent journos on the ground, such as Bruno Brussels etc, the best source of information. Usually leads to more facts, less spin.

Do remember this is a negotiation and Ofcourse the EU is going to take every opportunity to put political pressure on our aside. What I’ve read today is that Merkel has decided that the Irish section is going to be watered down and the political declaration on a future trading relationship will be a lot less detailed than what she originally wanted. All designed to ensure the withdrawal agreement can go ahead. Basically following Mays can kicking for another couple of years.

Having a real go at getting back into cooking this week. Even brought one of my recipe books (River cottage) to work for inspiration. The intention is to try and eat as clean as possible. Even going to have a go at making some sourdough bread.

The thing is some are too focussed on the news generated by the Westminster bubble. Outside of this he is still hero worshipped and if there was an election tomorrow he would romp home. The press doesn’t have the impact it once had over voting intentions. I drive all sorts around and no one has ever brought up anti semitism. I don’t think the far left can fix anything but I have no doubts Corbyn will be PM within a year.

You’ll need to covey you’re concerns before I can answer one way or the other. Nighty night.

So as we start the final countdown I’m sure we can all agree; Labour is a proud party currently run by some nasty folk. The Tories are all at Sea but Boris isn’t the answer. Nobody really has a clue where Brexit will end up Theresa May dances like a Peter Crouch goal celebration.

Our livelihoods are always in the balance. Taxi drivers have to contend with Uber cutting earnings and driverless cars. Let’s face it, most people don’t give a fuck unless it effects them or theirs. We could all use bank branches or shop in shops but we don’t. Politics is a living breathing thing. If you don’t get fired up by it you’re dead imo.

I assume you are talking about the bairn Ayatollah? Nah, nothing of substance and just hanging out of Alex’s arse as normal. There was never anything aimed at Tropyshy (as Trophyshy knows). The fact that a few ignorants who never have anything of substance substance to say about politics, get upset because I’m centre right is their problem not mine. As for middle class types calling working class folk cunt on the Internet well Anyway, the next 3 months are going to be brutal. Live up.
