  1. Nice to hear JC on TV this morning. The problem with immigration is all the people coming in and under cutting construction and manufacturing wages. Hmmm Am I still wrong?
  2. So to be clear, your article pretty much confirms that my opinion is near as damn it, the same as the Government and the Labour Party. So either we are all wrong and no such deal can be achieved or you are wrong and it will. As I said earlier, it’s pretty futile trying to settle this once and for all now, no matter how enlightened you feel you are.
  3. We won’t stay in the SM because that means free movement. We can have an FTA that allows tarrif free access to it. We won’t stop in the customers union because that means no free trade deals. We can agree a customs arrangement that allows frictionless borders. Add regulatory alignment and we have a deal that Airbus, BMW etc will be very happy with. As I’ve said from day one, this will be wrapped up in an associate deal. If this doesn’t happen you can come round here and piss on my prize roses.
  4. I’m hard work The article you quote says exactly what I said that you’ve also quoted “they are worried about no deal”.
  5. Hes wrong. Airbus, BMW etc are all worried about NO DEAL, they are not worried about a deal.
  6. Which bit of May will budge on her red lines, that I’ve repeated many times, do you fail to grasp?
  7. But that’s their negotiating position as all of Mays red lines are hers. Both will budge and a deal will be agreed.
  8. How can I possibly evidence my opinion on a negotiation that is yet to take place We may not be able to do a full FTA with the US. Honestly I really don’t care. You basically paint a picture of all or nothing. The negotiation will be closer to all imo. My only “evidence” is based on that being the best possible outcome for the majority of U.K. and EU businesses and at the end of the day, as always, business will win.
  9. Its what both parties stood on, 85% of the public voted for and what the PM has continually said she will get. It is also the outcome that will be best for the EU and the U.K. The problem here is that we would like to prove each other wrong and that cannot happen until after the deal is struck.
  10. Weve passed a bill to leave the EU and agreed an implementation deal and it’s only June
  11. Theres no issue. I think it will be very similar trade / custom wise to now AND we’ll be able to do our own trade deals. You disagree. Fine.
  12. Dont know but the one with Australia looks promising Nice breaking news
  13. I think it will be very close to what we have now. That outcome suits all sides.
  14. She has the withdrawal bill out of the way. The full cabinet will decide and it’s 70% remain. Up until now it’s been the sub committee which was 50/50
  15. I think the ECJ will get involved. Basically both sides are sticking to their red lines because the real negotiations haven’t started yet. (Although let’s face it, behind the scenes they are probably putting all the pieces in place). Next week the compromise will take place within cabinet and things will speed up. A few toys out of the pram during August then a last minute deal, probably November or December.
  16. There’s been no discussion on a deal because the cabinet has been as split as the country, as I said earlier. A week tomorrow that will end and the actual future trade discussions will start.
  17. Honestly, you are wrong on everything you say there. Nissan etc are interested in access to the SM and frictionless borders. That is what will be agreed and you will have wasted 2 years reading a lot of nonsense and taken a few years off your life. As to your question, I’ve said several times on here that if Brexit lead to Nissan leaving it would not be worth it.
  18. Yet you’re the one trying to stop other people talking to each other in a thread you very rarely contribute to. ( Not to mention I created the thread) That’s a little childish don’t you think.
  19. I don’t think Boris or Davis quitting would bring down the government. Also the Erg has little it can do now the withdrawal bill is through. Labour and Conservatives were both elected on leaving the SM and CU. As I’ve said all along we’ll end up with pretty much full access to the SM and in some form of customs union. May will have to give on some red lines as will Brussels. Our version of the CU will allow us to still do our free trade deals and access to the SM will probably involve a fudge on Freedom of movement. A no deal would be bad for both sides so won’t happen and the ERG know having legally left the EU a future government (if it wanted), could amend the deal at any time.
  20. So as well as killing thousands in the middle east, creating ISIS, causing the banking crash, throwing millions on the dole, fucking the NHS with endless PFI's and creating the hostile immigration environment paving the way for Brexit, we also discover today that Labour tolerated "inexcusable treatment of detainees" in the 2000's. Shame
  21. Nobody is going to leave. Nissan, BMW etc will all continue as is as there is no possibility imo of a no deal. I still think there might be a walk out or two before October before they make up agree a deal, so I do hope you have some sense and calm the fuck down or you will damage your health.
  22. I think if you are not being partisan then theres a few reasons why we are where we are, mostly a weak government with no majority and a split government. Add into that the fact the EU demanded we do the negotiations in the order we did. It may have been much easier had the trade discussions got underway last year. Given where May is, a remainer trying to deliver some form of Brexit with no majority and a split cabinet, I think she might be about to pull off a heroic effort. Shes kept the Hard brexiteers in line while she got the legislation through and now is about to fuck them all off at chequers and plough ahead with her soft brexit. Theres very little they can do now and they will just have to accept whatever she gives them.
  23. I'm guessing because dullards like you only really come in this thread to whinge and have little real understanding of politics. You should really just view this thread and learn from the big boys at work. You might learn something about the big bad world outside of Burnley.
