  1. I understood my vote perfectly as expressed in here numerous times and “wishlist” of outcomes still stacks up even under Mays deal. Were there some leavers who didn’t understand the details, of course, just as there were many remainers who voted due to a fear of a punishment budget and recession within weeks.
  2. Access not membership Actually, the likes you got for that and the follow up comments highlight perfectly that quite a few on here have no clue on the argument.
  3. Cameron said voting leave meant leaving the SM, as did Osbourne as did Boris, Gove and the leaflet sent to peoples homes by the Government and discussed in every TV debate.
  4. No, I assumed that when the politicians put it to the people and promised to deliver on the verdict that they would all do it. It was very clear at the time that voting leave would mean leaving the EU, SM and CU. Cameron should be shot for no prep for a leave vote and the establishment and most politicians have done everything possible to thwart it. Add some piss poor weak leadership and we are where we are. Last nights QT was a bit of an eye opener for me as the entire audience seemed to be brexiteers and virtually all unhappy with Mays plan and wanting her to go further.
  5. Mine are just Karrimors from SD but they are the comfiest footwear I’ve ever worn. Lovely moulder soles for my elegant feet. Free and liberating footwear is much better than trainers at this time of year.
  6. and have the 2am trips for a piss started yet.
  7. Regarding Trump, I think he probably knows little of the complexity of why a hard Brexit would be bad (NI, Nissan etc), and is just thinking he’s clever bigging up his mate Boris and Farage. Re where we are, I’m quite surprised why the ERG are acting the way they are. It’s either Mays plan or no Brexit. I can’t see anyway the numbers work for Parliament to vote for a no deal Brexit. It seems so obvious that I truly don’t understand their game plan. If they start voting down her trade bills this week then I think she will have had enough and quit. Cant see how any replacement can get through anything better than what she’s offered. I do think the whole process has been handled very badly and in we should have had a much more positive Government approach to Brexit from day 1 and been tougher in our earlier dealings with Europe. Given where we are I think the best outcome would be that the deal is put to the people. Accept or stay in. The only problem is that Brexiteers would say that the choice should be accept deal, stay in EU or Hard Brexit and that choice would split the Brexit vote so they will fight a vote all the way.
  8. Happy Birthday Now the joy of all those life insurance over 50’s junk mail. Enjoy.
  9. Either a foot fetish or he’s liking the cut of my sandals. Iirc he’s around or just over 50
  10. Once you're over 50 or a grandad you can get away with them
  11. Had that years. Pallet furniture was destined for the spot the big paddling pool now is. Much better use of a few hundred quid.
  12. Worth it all in the end though. Once the kids had finished I climbed in, laid back and watched the swallows darting back and forth as butterflies fluttered to and thro. CT Zen
  13. You know one of your parents lives very close to me, knows me well and loves my whole family.
  14. Kids chalking England flags everywhere. They’re that traumatised after last night I think there won’t be anymore for a while.
  15. @Ant can’t upload photos There was a problem processing the file -200
  16. I havent been this worried about a semi since I watched Brokeback mountain.
  17. This all actually a legendary CT fuck up. 13 year old daughters birthday this week and wife suggested letting her and friends go out for a meal. Rather than simply saying yes pet and letting her sort it, I suggested putting the tent out and letting her have a group of friends over for sleepover / pizzas / hot tub party. Googled a few rental places advertising at £79 for 3 nights. All full due to weather / World Cup but eventually found one for £130. Job sorted / Daughter Happy. Then a punter in the cab yesterday told me she’d had one for a year, excellent, use it all the time, kids love it etc. So muggins decided to buy one, rushed home to set it up, only to discover my patio was on a slant Ive now spen the last 24 hours ripping up and relaying the patio. Ended up with 20 bags off sand that used to be under my patio. I am a broken man.
  18. Change of plan. Going full council estate instead.
  19. Good old fashioned divide and rule. She split the Brexiteers and now she’s trying to split Labour.
  20. Ones the trade bill which legally allows us legally to transfer over all our current bilateral deals. The second is the customs bill which allows us to legally make our own customs arrangements. Some brexiteers may not like Mays negotiating stance but they still need these bills into law. Even if they were to topple her they need this legislation to be in place for future trade deals etc. The big threat here was conservative pro Europeans forcing May to stay in the customs union. This seems to have died down now although it could still be put in as a backstop.
  21. I am she will The bills were in danger from the pro Europeans not the brexiteers. The pro Europeans are on side now and the brexiteers need the bills to go through as well.
