£300+ Newcastle to London if you get one of the first trains. Twice as cheap to fly. £300 on the train to London? Is that one-way? I never use the train so can't comment but I will anyway, that's massive money for a 4 hour journey. Oh aye, for long commutes without book in advance is bad. Whats also bad is you can save money by splitting the journey up. I.e Leeds to Newcastle, Ive saved loads in the past by getting tickets for Leeds to York, then York to Newcastle. Its the same train, yet sometimes Ive saved £30. Its shit like this that shouldnt be allowed.

Prices of trains tbh arent bad at all IMO. From Horsfoth to Leeds its £2.80 return. On a bus it would be £4+!
