  1. Impressive. I dont know whether you're being sarky or not LM But it is impressive when you think he builds his cars himself, inc chassis and engines. most other teams have pretty major sponsors, so yeah, he's done well. At the mo he's biulding a new national hot rod based on the Tigra shape. no, not sarky TR. Its impressive. Thankyou on his behalf LM. I wish they'd give nicer trophies though, like glass or maybe a plaque....but I think men seem to like tacky big trophies
  2. No you're not the only one Good thread, though I'm sure we did this ages ago, unless that was another forum.

  7. (God Jimbo, I did wonder for a minute what on earth you were about to say there) Sad news, funnily enough I was just reading the Hammond book, who talks about Evel being his hero. RIP
  8. Damn trophies I've never won one in my life but hubby has well over a hundred and my son has a few too. All won from his racing over the years. We had them all over the lounge in our old place, but when we moved he sorted out his favourites and those that meant the most to him.....those are in the lounge on a unit and the rest are put away in a cupboard. They just take ages to polish Tacky looking things really. I suppose his best are for 3 years running winning the British long track at Mallory Park and winning the West of England championship down here twice.

  10. Best time of year to make things look homely imo. We moved house back in Feb and its really starting to look nice now, thats one thing we achieved this year! Looking forward to our first Xmas here. Im going to have a real tree and make my own front door wreath and table decorations with fresh holly and berries etc.
  11. you shouldn't say you'll cut out sex, boozing, as well as eating then TR.......no-go's before you even start You have to have some enjoyment and out of those three, at least the sex is good for you Hello LM by the way!
  12. Very good Though we are not all the same, my three fave things would probably be music, football and shopping
  13. Are you not bothering with any in 2008 then Bev? God, I cant afford to age myself by another year!!
  14. For those Monopoly addicts who've obviously fucked the banker over....... http://www.firebox.com/product/1565 OOOOooohhh I want one!!! Craig, I wish you'd never shown me that
  15. Just make it something easy. Or how about I will promise myself not to be the Iron no more on Monopoly? I might be able to manage that one! By the by I have a feeling our special edition monopoly had slightly different counters, I will have to dig it out now to have a look.
  16. Thats it!! I'm not going to make any for next year. Meenzer, you've achieved things without doing so, maybe I put too much pressure on myself the minute I say I will make one!
  17. Bought my son one similar to this when he was about 10 or 12.. I remember Xmas eve it took hubby bloody hours to put all the stickers inside and outside. Anyway my son loved it, he had loads of micro machines....I used to step on them all the time, extremely painful!!
  18. You got it At least you'll have feel good factor!
  19. I haven't tried that, so can't comment. But for sore throats I'd take Ibrupen to ease any inflammation and honey and lemon to soothe it. Or even ice-cream....flavour up to you!!
  20. so did any of you actually stick to your New year's resolutions this year? If not, you have a month left to start ! I have failed miserably in all mine I was going to get fitter.....NO. Lose weight......NO 2009....I really will!!
  21. We still used to play Monopoly a canny bit when we were "zany" students, was mint. It's good though, that's why it's stood the test of time. I bet you used to fight over who got to be the car. No one ever wanted to be the iron We'd always make on of the lasses be the iron. As I said....
