I knew some awkward person would ask that. I have actually been actively trying to reduce my direct debits, i dont like them! I always pay my BT and electric with easy payment swipe cards...which means whenever Im in a post office or paypoint centre shop I can put any amount of money on these cards when I please. Im in control and usually end up in credit by the time my bills come in. I just prefer it that way and I dont like having to pay extra to carry on doing this! You are already paying more to do that for your electric as the price per unit is more expensive for customers who pay like that with a swipe card and you would save even more if you had a standard credit meter and had a direct debit set up as nearly all energy companies take a percentage off your bill if you pay by DD. So it must make more sense to pay by direct debit, as it is cheaper. No point throwing money away. I do have a standard meter for electric and I get a quarterly bill, i meant i have a payment card where i put money into my account when I please so when the bill arrives its normally paid for or almost paid for. I suppose I'll have to do my BT direct debit, but I hate having my choices made for me. I never owe them anything and im normally in credit, yet they will still charge me more unless i go DD

That would be Sunday night into Monday coming. I do believe I will be able to have a small holiday with the extra money I shall earn And i work alternate sunday night shifts, which as it works out means i miss this Sunday night which goes into a bank holiday but i will work the next one at the end of May, where I shall be earning 8 hours of DOUBLE pay I can live with that!! I'll remind you of that when you're on here squealing like a stuck pig and I'm sat out the back in the sunshine generally lounging about in a Bank Holiday stylee. Pah, I work nights, i can still lounge about in bank holiday style anytime!! I agree. You could always leave BT though. Yes well its like this....I just went back to them!!!! I did have my calls with tiscal I didnt realise BT charged this and now I've signed up for an 18month BT together option 2 So either I pay it and lump it or switch to direct debit, which i strongly resent being forced to do!

Oh go and sit in the sun I'm gonna watch crap telly for a bit then go out and do nice girlie things this afternoon OH i did girly things all last weekend as hubby and son were away..its good to be able to walk around with hair remover cream under your arms and a face pack on without scaring anyone I think I will watch abit of crap telly too, i love QVC jewellery then i'll have a rest. Off with the girls to Clarks village on saturday to shop all day !!! Have fun! Shopping? On a Saturday?! Repeat after me........"Saturday: Beer and Football!" My mates can only make the Saturday, but doesnt matter, as i cant be at St James anyway! and thats where I'd rather be! and im not going to watch Torquay, cant face it, we're down But if i go out with my friends on a Saturday, they know i will have radio 5live in my ears for scores

You have a point, im rarely off sick, (think I went 8 years without one day or night off) then realised every bugger else takes plenty of time off ill! I qualify for up to 12 weeks EACH year sick pay So now i do occassinally take the odd night off if im not feeling great whereas of old I'd have dragged myself in however i felt. Thing is we're a close team and I dont like to land my co-workers in the shit, so now if im thinking i might be off I sort something out with one of the girls beforehand! Privately of course
