What was Debuchy like for France? Presuming he played.
-
A beaming Roy Hodgson told @bbc5live that finishing as group winners has exceeded all expectations. Extra 24 hours rest too ahead of Italy@Iandennisbbc
Italy played yesterday, so they get a days more rest than we do you fuckin clueless media twats
He means if we had finished runners up we would be playing 24 earlier on the Saturday.

Surprising Beckham is still the biggest earning footballer.

Woods knocked off the top spot for the first time since 2001.

Or it's the club strengthening a weak area of our team?
As much as I'd love to see that happen I just don't believe it.
Cisse or Ba wouldn't settle for a place on the bench and I don't see De Jong coming here to sit on it either.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if this is the club giving Ba a nudge towards the exit if they think his agent has been negotiating with other clubs.
-
What sort of striker is De Jong?
Who in the Premiership does he have similar attributes too?

Bedimo, the Montpellier left back has said he's moving to England next season and will announce where next week, he's linked with us and Liverpool.

Was it Jimmy Carr who said getting married is betting someone half of your stuff that you will love them forever.
-
Not married but live with my other half, marriage doesn't appeal to me at all and I think it's a bigger commitment agreeing to have children together.
Growing up I always thought my parents got married 2 years before my sister was born (she's 7 years older than I am) for some reason but I only found out last year they got married when I was 4 which was a strange one, my dad said back then people frowned upon them living together and having kids without getting wed.

I like it apart from the spikes.

Indeed, a senior source told The Journal yesterday that they suspect meetings in Turkey have taken place, and would be unsurprised if he leaves.
-
Our first offer for Debuchy has been rejected, €5 million opening bid.
-
Also worth pointing out that Spurs have only managed to finish in the top 4 twice since the Premiership started, both times under Redknapp.

Great header.

The worse era thing is countered by the fact Bobby had to regularly play the likes of Griffin, O'Brien, Acuna, Quinn, Cort, Ambrose, Hughes, Bramble etc. Yeah we had some good players too but Harry has Van Der Vaart, Bale, Adebayor, Parker, Kaboul, Lennon, Gallas, Modric, Walker, King etc. With the players he has in that team, and to lose the lead he had over Arsenal for 3rd place, he can't be too surprised he has been booted

You can't argue for Robson having to use shit players when he signed most of them
He blew nearly £20 million on Cort, Viana and Bassedas so he had plenty to spend, not as much as Redknapp but as Stevie has pointed out prices have shot up since then, Robson done it in the days of the local chairman apart from the past full season where as Redknapp managed it in the era of billionaire owners.
Without working it out I'd say there isn't many more clubs that spent more net than Tottenham under Redknapp than there was spending bigger than Robson for us at time.
-
He spent an absolute fortune and finished 4th, 5th, 4th Canny, but SBR did better, spending less money and with a worse team imo. Juande Ramos won more trophies at the club than Harry as
Robson got us 4th, 3rd, 5th in a worse era to be fair.
Not much between them for me.
-
I wouldn't he surprised if there's truth in this, just because they haven't activated the clause yet doesn't mean they haven't been sorting personal terms with his agent to make sure they can get him and he's prepared to go there.
-
for what?...
So they don't have to sell players would be my guess.

I reckon there are some underlying issues here, possibly regarding the England job. Reckon FA approached levy for permission to talk to ol' saggy face and he told them to get outta town, redknapp then kicked off, about his contract demanding to be paid better as compensation. As this was happening spurs were becoming the sunderland of the south. Well that sufficiently filled my otherwise purgatorial time on the shitter.
I think its more to do with Levy thinking Redknapp wanting the England job is what made Spurs fall apart in the second half of the season which ultimately cost them a CL place.
I think they made about £27 million profit on transfers last season so ot could be they were relying on the money from qualifying.

Can you get the ESPN games on your laptop?....I think its about £9 a month just for ESPN?...maybe the BT games will only be available on broadband to those with a BT mobile broadband contract and thats where they theink they'll make their money?..
No idea to be honest, I've never tried.
I think we pay £12 and get ESPN thrown in plus films and box sets of tv shows on demand, what I presume happened is that they've seen how many people buy ESPN through them so fancied a piece of the pie themselves.
-
The surprise was the arrival of BT as a major player on the football broadcasting market, winning the rights to show 38 matches and replacing ESPN. A spokesman for BT said that it would negotiate to appear on as many different platforms as possible. It was competition from new bidders like this which pushed the price of rights so high.
Looks like BT are buying into the market so they can stream their package via their already set up broadband service. Good move on the face of it, but this "second package" has been a bit of a poisoned chalice. Will people swap from having skysports and their own broadband service?....doubt it.
I've got BT vision and the package I have with them includes ESPN, I would have thought that they would just replace ESPN in that package with their own channel.

The Twente chairman came out not long ago saying they would like 15 million euros (£12m) for him, not pounds.
If we're prepared to pay in one lump sum then hopefully we can get him for around what the Mail said.
