Do a search on the ones you are looking to sell and tick the completed listings bit on the side. This will give you an idea of how much they have been going for recently if at all.

Liverpool are on the brink of sealing a club record £26.5m deal to sign Atletico Madrid's Fernando Torres. BBC Sport understands a transfer has now been agreed between Liverpool and Atletico, and only a late change of heart in Spain will scupper the deal. Liverpool's Luis Garcia is likely to go in the opposite direction for £4.5m, but the Torres deal will not collapse if he rejects the switch. Boss Rafa Benitez is being linked with Manchester United's Gabriel Heinze. Argentine defender Heinze is currently playing in the Copa America, but there is growing speculation Liverpool will try to do a deal for the 29-year-old. It may prove complicated, however, with fierce rivals Liverpool and United notoriously reluctant to sell players to each other. Torres is Liverpool's main priority, and there is hope that he could put pen to paper within the next few days. Liverpool officials are playing their cards close to their chest on what will be a move that shatters their previous club record deal, the £14m paid to Auxerre for Djibril Cisse three seasons ago. But it is understood the framework of the Torres move is finally in place between the two clubs after lengthy and complicated negotiations - although Liverpool remain cautious until it is actually signed and sealed. Liverpool's approach is understandable given that Torres has reportedly been leaving Atletico for several seasons, only for moves to fall at the final hurdle. Spanish international Garcia is expected to sign for Atletico, but if he remains at Anfield, Liverpool's new owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks will pay straight cash for Torres. Torres, 23, is currently on holiday until early July, but Benitez remains hopeful of confirming the deal then, with personal terms not expected to be a problem. Atletico fans held a protest at the possible deal, and a club spokesman has tried to cool suggestions that move is now imminent. The spokesman said: "The player is on holiday at the moment and will report back to training on 9 July for an Intertoto match. "At the moment, any talk of a move is just speculation and we are still hopeful that Fernando will be with us next season." Atletico are reluctant to sell, but Torres is believed to be keen to link up with Benitez. Benitez wants to land Torres to provide a spearhead for an assault on the title - and also allow Gillett and Hicks to demonstrate their own financial commitment to his plans. Torres has been consistently linked with a move to England, particularly with Arsenal and Chelsea, but Liverpool are now set to win the race. If he signs, he will join fellow countrymen Garcia, Pepe Reina and Xabi Alonso, as well as boss Benitez. Gil Marin, Atletico's major shareholder insisted that Torres is not irreplaceable. "Nobody is indispensable. No player by himself, very good though he is, is able to make a team achieve its aims," Gil Marin said on Punto Radio. "We have spoken to him and told him we would like him to stay. It is normal that he has doubts. It is normal that the offers and everything surrounding them has made him think." Torres, 23, scored 14 league goals in 36 starts this season as Atletico finished seventh in La Liga. The Spain international's Atletico contract runs until 2009. Torres came up though the youth ranks at Atletico and has been their leading scorer in each of the last five seasons.

Oh dear, if only you'd been around a couple of weeks ago when SMO asked if they were any good, it wouldnt really have made any difference, his lass still would have made him buy it but at least he would have known it was a dog beforehand. He would have but we found it was Vic and sent him packing over to N-O again...

Tottenham are set to complete a deal to sign England striker Darren Bent from Charlton, BBC Sport understands. The 23-year-old turned down a move to West Ham last week after the Hammers had agreed a £17m fee with Championship side Charlton for his services. Bent will instead move to Spurs, even though their valuation of the player is some way short of the Addicks' after they had a £13m bid turned down. The two clubs are believed to have reached a compromise on Wednesday. Liverpool were also interested in Bent, but they have instead turned their attentions to Atletico Madrid's Spanish striker Fernando Torres. If Bent had decided to join West Ham he would have rejoined manager Alan Curbishley, who spent £2.75m to bring the striker to Charlton from Ipswich two years ago. Bent turned down a move to Upton Park in the hope of Spurs or Liverpool making a move for him. When Spurs capture their man, they may allow Jermain Defoe to leave White Hart Lane, with Manchester United and Aston Villa linked with the 24-year-old.

Thats us seen the back of Srnicek Bramble Gooch Bernard Bramble Sibierski Parker Its looking likely that Carr and Babayaro and still doubts remain over the likes of Owen, Martins, Dyer and N’Zogbia. It is looking like we could be seeing at least 9 or 10 additions to the squad for next season by the looks of things as we already had a small squad.

Do we ever read about Carr without the rehashed story of Celtic being interested being brought up? Thats the last couple of years now the Chronicle/Journal have been saying and something that has never been in any of the media up here once to my knowledge...

Stephen Carr's position at St James's Park last night appeared increasingly precarious as Sam Allardyce pursued two players whose arrivals would leave the Irishman facing a bleak first-team future. A manager whose interest in Olympique Marseille's Habib Beye is established is understood to have opened talks with Geremi, the Cameroon international who, following the expiration of his contract at Chelsea, has been offered to several Premier League clubs this summer. The Newcastle boss is keen on a player who, although comfortable in various roles, has been deployed almost exclusively at right-back during his career at Stamford Bridge. It is a position in which Beye is also accomplished and one in which Carr specialises. The 30-year-old faced an uncertain future even before Allardyce's targets became clear - with Nolberto Solano having proved a more than capable full-back last season and the Magpies manager keen to test Kieron Dyer in the role as he experiments with alternative formations. Should he succeed in his bid to add Beye and Geremi to Newcastle's first-team squad, it would be almost certain to spell the end for Carr's first-team career in the North-East. The Journal understands that, having decided that the former Tottenham defender will not be a first choice next season, Allardyce is willing to listen to offers for Carr. A player facing a future in the reserves is not expected to resist, and Celtic are understood to be interested. The United boss is still attempting to find a club willing to end Celestine Babayaro's time on Tyneside. Portuguese sources insist Sporting Lisbon have had a request to sign the African on loan rejected and are considering returning with a bid to sign the former Anderlecht player on a permanent basis. Allardyce will hope it succeeds. With Carr set to join the Nigerian in departing Tyneside, it seems as though Newcastle could embark on their next Premier League season with new full-backs on both flanks. Carr did spend time deputising for Babayaro last season, although Allardyce is determined to recruit a specialist left-footer to fill a position that has long been problematic. Newcastle have been linked with Nicky Shorey, but the England international has opened contract talks with Reading and is expected to remain at the Madejski Stadium. "Interest from those clubs is flattering," said the in-demand defender, who is also attracting attention from West Ham. "You never say never, football is a sport where people move around all the time. But I've been happy at Reading for a long time." Having agreed a £3m deal for David Rozehnal - although the transfer has not been confirmed and the 26-year-old has returned to his home in the Czech Republic, an announcement is said to be imminent - Allardyce is keen to continue his defensive restructuring work. A deal for Beye is being negotiated, while discussions have been held with Geremi's representatives. The African has also been offered to Sunderland and Middlesbrough this summer - although Newcastle are understood to be in the driving seat for a player who is a free agent. Like Beye, the African is a versatile player - a factor that appeals to Allardyce. But, although Geremi can fulfil several roles, a manager well served for defensive midfielders does not need another and with James Milner and Solano expected to contest the club's right-wing role, it seems the former Real Madrid man would have the most to offer in the right-back berth. Meanwhile, Mark Viduka has cast further doubt on Michael Owen's future at St James's Park after admitting he is unsure whether he will partner the England international next season. "I'm not sure if Michael is staying," said the Australian, who, despite the striker's uncertain situation, is relishing his first season as a Newcastle player following his move from Middlesbrough. "What's happening at Newcastle is exciting. We have got new owners and it looks very promising. West Ham was tempting but in the end, I chose Newcastle."
