  1. Pattison in particular has been woefully out of his depth. Not just last night either by any means. He just seems to spend the whole game chasing shadows, really looks out of his depth..
  2. Sounds like Jade was that "munter" you pulled on New Years Eve and kicked you out of bed..
  3. I am not disputing that, I state in a post in one of the other threads a priority before the next couple of home matches we should be going all out to get in a centre half if even only on loan. However it has to be said that the other players on the park do not help them in the slightest and constantly invite pressure onto them. The Birmingham defenders constantly won the ball with ease against the likes of Milner time and time again just by sticking a leg out and just like Sunday constantly hit us on the break time and time again through sloppy play and our inability to keep possession.
  4. To be fair, whilst I am not saying that the boys at the back are the answer (far from it), one of the biggest problems both on Sunday and this evening was the midfield and forwards inability to keep a hold of possession of the ball or pass it 10 yards to a team mate. This invites so much pressure on to the defence and makes them look even worse than they already are..
  5. We should be going all out to get a centre half in on loan within the next 48 hours. Two must win games coming up at home that could make or break our season...
  6. We should be trying to get numbers in through loans at least
  7. Tbh I rather think it was a mental problem today. They thought they would walk this game home today but got totally caught on the wrong foot with the early goal. No excuse, but in its extremity I consider this game as a fluke. I just hope that the confidence of the youngsters hasn't totally gone to pieces. I think Sundays result at WHL was more a fluke...
  8. With Taylor now suspended through that stupid red card does anyone know which game he will miss?
  9. Yay! You got that ticket sorted then? Aye, Alex sorted one for me, though after watching that shite I dunno if it is a good thing..
  10. No, missed that. Could you make anything out? Nothing clear cut but the noise of a door closing closely followed by a cockney going absolutely fucking mental was unmistakable! Just hit rewind on the Sky + and didn't think it was Roeder tbh..
  11. Dumbarton v Clydebank back in the early eighties don't have a clue what the score was and doubt I'll find it on T'internet...
  12. James Milner has insisted he will relish the competition for places if Glenn Roeder strengthens the Newcastle squad this month. Milner has been one of the few Newcastle players to avoid a lengthy injury lay-off this season and has appeared in 33 of their 37 games. He has started the last 14 matches but could find his place in the side under threat if Roeder, as expected, brings in some new signings before the transfer window closes. However, Milner maintains that he would be delighted to see a few more star names arrive at St James' Park. "Obviously, it is a massive club and there are always big names linked with the club," he said. "That's what you want. You want competition in every position, and we have got that when players are fit. "At the moment, we have got a lot of injuries and there is not as much competition in the place. "But on the other hand, there are a lot of younger players coming through who are desperate to show their worth and keep their place when they get the chance. "It would be great for everyone and give us a lift if players were brought in, but that's not up to us, we just have to go out there and get the results. "That is up to the manager and the board and I am sure they will make the right decisions and bring the right players in." Milner is set to start Newcastle's FA Cup third round replay against Birmingham on Wednesday and he is hoping his side can finish the job following a disappointing 2-2 draw at St Andrews. "It was massively frustrating with them having a man sent off and being on top for the majority of the game and playing decent football," he said. "We created chances and maybe it was our own fault because we should have taken a couple of chances at the other end. "But it was one of those things. That is the FA Cup, things happen like that and we just need to make sure we go into the game with the right mentality and do the job and not get sloppy."
  13. Kieron Dyer's form is already good enough to take him back into the England squad, but Nigel Pearson believes the Newcastle midfielder is more concerned with ridding himself of his "sicknote" tag. Dyer is expected to be named in Steve McClaren's squad for next month's friendly against Spain and Pearson feels an international recall would be richly deserved. But Newcastle's assistant manager has suggested the former Ipswich star is concentrating more on proving to people his lengthy injury problems are behind him. Pearson said: "Kieron's form has been very, very good. He works particularly hard and he is very keen to prove he is over his injuries. The more games he plays the better chance he has got of getting rid of that tag. He works very hard to maintain his fitness. "He is a type of player who is very rare. He's a very important player for us and I think, as he's fully fit, he can offer something to the England side. His view is that he wants to concentrate on playing games for Newcastle first and, if he does that, he will get back into the England picture. "He's absolutely 100% fit and, I think with any international situation, the manager wants to pick the best possible players that are available and Kieron is one of those. "I think it will be fantastic if he gets international recognition again, for him and the club." Meanwhile, Glenn Roeder has urged Albert Luque not to let the collapse of his proposed move to PSV Eindhoven to get him down. Roeder said: "After a decision made at the highest levels of both clubs, Albert Luque will not be going to PSV Eindhoven. "He has to put PSV out of his mind. "I know what it is like when a player sets his heart and joining another club and the move does not happen. "They become despondent, but I will not accept any despondency around the Newcastle United training ground."
  14. What a fucking joke.. Whilst I am not proclaiming them to be world beaters recent performances from th youngsters and Nobby at the back has shown just how bad Bramble, Carr and Babayaro are. The sooner we get rid of these over paid numpties the better.
