never touch the stuff.......

I was referring to you
-
good on yer................
-
oh well, I think that that didn't come out as intended......... Still, could be worse, like some people - not you - I could be posting shite in the middle of the afternoon when I'm supposed to be sober and at work........

very good. A good summary. Despite what the Toonpacks etc think. Deep down, they don't really like us, but put up with us in a sort of way that you would do if your daughter married a sponging immigrant who only came to the UK for the benefits but hated the British and everything we stood for, showing it as he heckled troops coming back from invading his homeland hoping nobody he knew recognised him on the TV cameras.

say that up there and you'll get a bottle of scotch whisky smashed on your heed

don't laugh at the title of the group but this is a cracking track, written by Lennon-McCartney http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSfwRGFvLmo

did you hear what Henman was asked yesterday during the commentary ? He was asked if he had ever felt the weight of the pressure, and he said he always took it as a positive, that the volume of support actually encouraged him rather than inhibited him and put extra pressure on him that he found it hard to cope with. We don't know if Murray has the same mindset, but he certainly has the upper edge psychologically with 5 wins out of 6. He can do it. Like most things, its how you play on the day, the unpredictably of Tsonga is a problem he is so big he can be intimidating, but I agree if Murray keeps positive, and can stay focussed he can do it. He nearly lost the 2nd set yesterday, so more of that if he goes behind. The first set will obviously be a big boost if he can get himself ahead and the crowd can help him build momentum.
-
you don't half spout some rubbish. Everyone who has been to Jockland knows that the vast majority hate the English.
-
what ?
-
oh well. Murray tomorrow. Does anybody actually think he will win. I don't like making predictions in case it jinxes him, but I hope he will and I think he will too. Don't fancy his chances in the final, but every dog has their day [except Newcastle United] and he may just play better on the day. But first things first though. Tonga is a huge bloke with a massive physical presence and seems to be a bit erratic, lets hope he has a bad day tomorrow.

.... I'm talking about old posts on here. Way back etc. If you think not too much is going on at the moment ie there are a few people obsessed about Rangers [bar the Scottish lads who are understandably so], then do you look at old posts. There are some crackers, right and wrong. There are also old posters, who are not here anymore, where did they go ?
-
far too early to make predictions like this before we know who is going to be sold and replaced.
-
exactly.

I think your presumption that insinuate I'm a "better supporter than others" or that I "don't enjoy" going to games, on the basis that I'm not stupid enough to be brainwashed by Ashley and Llambias like you, and/or one good season, and one good transfer window, is pathetic Renton. Whatever happens to Rangers, they will not cease to exist, and have their land or ground bought by another entity, whatever your claims to the contrary. They will be back challenging Celtic in a few years again. If you don't "like" that view because it isn't what you want to hear, then it's really your problem not mine. Have you looked to see who the instigator was yet ? Apology accepted. Actually, what would be the point of retrospectively handing us that title now, it is 16 years ago. The moment has gone, the chance to build on it has gone [and we would have had a vastly different club to what we have now if we had won that title]. It can't be changed. It's pointless, it would only make losing the title feel a million times worse.
-
that's a fair point. Punish the men, definitely, but why punish the football club and the supporters ?
-
this is supposed to be about Rangers........maybe you are right, but the situation in 1991 was vastly different to what came about afterwards. I think - and only think - that NUFC could well have gone into administration in the early 1990's, and if you understand the situation of the club you would have to say that long term apathy was driving the club downwards and it was difficult to see how McKeag/Seymour/Forbes etc could possibly have had the drive or the imagination to change that, as they had run the club for years prior to that with only the brief spell of relative success in the early to mid 80's that was sold away in the form of Gazza, Waddle and Beardsley. However, if the club HAD gone down that road, then it would not have disappeared would it ? It's just too big mate, the city of Newcastle will always have the football club. Always.

Fleet Street want to watch West Ham Stevie. Besides, that may change when they see they are playing the Allardyce way nowadays.

I've just made a note of all the games until Xmas in my diary, we seem to have a very difficult start this season, and the first 3 games are all moved for TV. I prefer to go for a pint after the game rather than before mind, so moving the Spurs game is a bit of a pain.
-
abysmal support, pleased ? how many games did you see last season, and the season before, and over the past 40 years ? Europe - did ANYBODY expect us to finish 5th, apart from CT ? Which doesn't make the longer term view either wrong or right by the way. See my sig, if you want a brief reminder of what I've been saying for years. There is support, and blind support ie stupidity, and those 2 are very different.
-
you show me where I have been wrong ? If I am wrong about Rangers and they cease to exist, I'll admit it. People accused me of saying I was "pleased" when West brom scored against Newcastle - you, I believe ? - but couldn't find the thread, in fact IIRC Happy Face and Stevie searched the entire thread and didn't find a post from me at all about that. Is it possible you could apologise for that ? Don't worry though, I don't give a toss ..... and I'm not going to hound you about it. On the contrary, the only person "walking on eggshells" is me, because anybody can say anything they like to me and I'm not crying for people to be banned just for having different views, which are proved correct. Have you looked to see who the instigator of this, today, is yet ? Yes or no ?
-
clearly, you have a personality or blindness problem and never noticed - again - the instigator. I simply replied, for the first time since I put him on ignore as he made a personal comment aimed at me for no reason at all. I will now resume discussing the point of the thread, which is Rangers going into administration, and what may or may not happen next to them. If you don't actually LIKE my views for some reason Renton, then I'm sorry about that, so lets just wait and see what actually does happen to Rangers, right ? Meanwhile, the people I have on ignore will continue to be ignored which makes it easier to disregard their rubbish and immaturity.
