deluded nonsense.
-
it could be different ? It could also quicken the realisation that they are not prepared to spend more than x amount of money to attempt to go higher and will pocket it instead ? It's wierd this, because everybody I actually go to the match with, also sussed him out ages ago too.

Carroll`s career so far in Liverpool
LeazesMag replied to Lake Bells tits's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think quite a few "hate" him, not that it matters or I give a toss either way, but its 100% nailed that the flak I get is because I didn't side with the majority who were totally convinced that anyone would do better than Fred. Its simple law of averages and perception, a club where only 4 had performed better over 15 years, what are the odds of someone doing better, and what are the odds someone else understanding the club and knowing its potential ? Everything aimed at me stems from this ie the comments from the forum clowns shouting "rubbish", but are unable to substantiate these claims after 5 years which is precisely the reason why they have gone down the road of blocking me and hurling childish comments rather than responding intelligently when asked. I quite agree that enough is enough, so far as this sort of thing is concerned, so it is very sad that they cannot acknowledge that they have continued this sort of comments and even go to the extent of blaming others for ruining the forum rather than give the necessary, correct and adult response. I always said that Souness should be sacked, early on - I am no different to a lot of people in that I wanted the club to succeed under him despite my better instincts and sometimes my heart rules my head - but from the point he fell out with Bellamy I was absolutely categoric that he should be sacked and things were going to go downwards, and actually "bickered" with the vast majority of people on here and on NO who said he "should be given time and money to build his own team". All of this is why I am banned from there, because it just went on and on, but when you know you are right, why should you say what others want to hear ? This is where all the opposition to me on NO and on here started, and it's continued ever since. I am 100% convinced that what I say about Mike Ashley is correct and its quite amazing that this has continued for almost 5 years now, after everything that has happened. It's as if people are still clinging to the belief that he will in fact prove better than Fred, such is their obsessed hatred and refusal to accept the fact that he has got nowhere near so far and the setup of the club is such that it is not going to happen either. The latest statement that they are going to improve the bench is mind boggling, and only further emphasises the limited ambitions and the fact that we are not going to see the entire Carroll money [and the money from other major sales that will come either], and that can have only one result, unfortunately. -
wonder what the finance whizz kids etc, and the assorted bunch of idiots who spout their crap, say about that ?
-
Not what I want to hear. Reads to me like we're looking to improve the bench as a priority, as opposed to improving the first team which would, as a result, improve the bench with first teamers squeezed out. Perhaps I'm being unfair. I'd want replacements for Simpson and STaylor, with both dropping to the bench as reasonable cover. Whether Santon covers left or right would determine which side we buy a fullback for. Also desirable would be improved replacements, or at least good competion for Gutierez and Obertan with both of those good for the bench. Being greedy we could have Ben Arfa, Ba, Cisse and another forward/No.10 type of that standard fighting for the front 2 places, with Best, Shola and Ranger put out to pasture. Guthrie's canny for the bench, but if Tiote's away I wouldn't be keen with him as first choice, and he's the only one I'm happy covering in the middle, so that could do with strengthening too. SO basically, we need to buy first teamers for all positions on the park but keeper exactly. Improve the bench ? Fuck me.

investors for people is the biggest load of shite to enter the workplace in the last 25 years.

no point in doing another book review when no fucker wants to respond intelligently to it. Anyway, I've took it back to the library now. Perhaps CT can predict the premiership title next year with a team costing 5m in total, just to cheer us all up
-
don't understand why people are obsessed with RTG these days like.
-
unbelievable comments, considering he took over a club that was 5th in the premiership and was handed the thick end of 50m quid to improve it.

who said spunking ? Fact is, the possibilty was there to cement a european place or even go higher with money burning a hole in the pocket and it wasn't even attempted. When this happens a few more times, then you will see. Keeping your powder dry? Yeah I remember that comment all too well. thing is, when do you think we didnt attempt to sign anyone? the last window when we signed Cisse or the one before? I'm not keeping any powder dry, I already know that the club will NEVER attempt to go that final hurdle and compete with the big clubs that we used to compete with and beat, that are challenging the sugar daddies, like we also ought to be doing. One player changes fuck all. The old board signed Keegan as a player, but stopped there. They also signed great players like Malcolm Macdonald and Tony Green, but didn't attempt to build further, so they went backwards. This is what Mike Ashley is going to do, he's been doing it all along, and people are fooled by one decent season and calling it "progress", but the progress has reached its limit. Is it good enough for you ? It isn't good enough for me. You will see. The mentality of the club is easy to work out, when you have seen and heard all the excuses and comments before. -

You can keep saying that if you want but I've asked you to show me how we've done it over the last two years and you've refused to answer. So what about shutting the fuck up? stop dragging the forum down, Gemmil will be after you -

I hope those who accuse me of posting comments about people they have never made are reading this. And Gemmill, Renton and the Grey man can respond intelligently rather than hurl childish comments then accuse someone else of dragging the board down. You won't find a post from me saying I think its a bad thing to sell Carroll and bring in Ba and Cisse, even though I'm far from convinced about Cisse who has only turned up once and that was his debut. Nor will you find anything from me saying it "weakens our position". I have however said why not have Carroll, Cisse and Ba on the books, and as we haven't seen the Carroll money and Cisse only cost 10m quid, for a club like NUFC this is a relevant point. You are right the team will never be "finished", no team is, that is why everybody should always look to improve. Even Barcelona do that, so what is Mike Ashleys excuse, or the excuse people are finding ? I do not insist everyone is either in or out of the Ashley camp or not, anymore than people say that I insist everyone is either in or out of the "Fred" camp. I just want someone who wants the best for NUFC and knows how big the club is and shows the ambition they ought to have for the club. I tell you what JawD, if we use most or the rest of that Carroll cash in the summer to buy 2 quality players to go straight into that team, without selling Tiote, Colo, Krul, Ba, Cabaye or any other major player to fund it, then I will admit that hopefully Mike Ashley has seen how to do things providing others such as Gemmill, the grey man, Renton, Chez, Toonpac etc come on here and admit that they have indeed been deluded [and we are not "doing it like Spurs"] if one of those senior players is sold and we replace cheaply again with more money or the rest of the Carroll money disappearing ? That will be 18 months and 3 transfer windows to spend the Carroll cash and back the manager. No more excuses if we don't see it by then. I realise Toonspac has been saying "wait until the next window" for about the last 3 years though. Will you then understand ? Because I don't think the others will, or they will never admit it anyway. -

Again you seem to be peddling the idea that if we have cash in our pockets, we must spend it. In the past 24 months we've signifcantly reduced our overheads and significantly improved from a footballing perspective. I cannot understand how a fan of Newcastle United cannot be delighted by those facts. So we've recouped more than we've spent... So long as the team is more successful (which it undeniably is), does that have to be a bad thing? more successful ? Do you mean 2 steps backwards and 1 step forwards again, but with a more limited ambition to go with it ? Not good enough I'm afraid. -

not particularly. I've said my view, and backed it up with comparisons through history etc. Its a flash in the pan, the same as clubs like Blackburn, Bolton etc have flirted with these positions, the overall strategy is 2nd rate like those clubs and unless it changes we will go the same way, when Pardew leaves for a club that backs him properly maybe. You can't sustain any sort of success by selling your best players and withholding the cash from your manager and not backing him. These are the actions of 2nd rate clubs. NUFC are bigger than that and should be acting bigger than that. You know what I've posted over the years, about the limitations of the ambition, the use of the club as an advertisement vehicle for Sports Direct so long as they stay in the premiership. I stand by it. Some such as Gemmill, the grey man etc may think its "rubbish" but how long have they been saying this now ? Nothing stops them from debating it rather than hurling childish posts and dragging the board down while blaming someone else. I'm 100% correct and time will prove it, although I think it should be obvious by now to everybody. -

has a few decent results converted you to the Ashley arselicking camp Craig ? You've obviously not bothered to read any of my posts on SD branding and the renaming of the ground. Also your line of "a few decent results" proves you've taken no notice of the positive comments I've made regarding the footballing side of things for the past 12 months. oh, I have noticed alright. Lately though, I've wondered....... -

I'm not using anything as an "example", I'm saying the club is withholding money from the manager from sales, that could be used to further strengthen the team. I just know you won't understand. Recent transfer windows would imply that we are in fact letting Pardew sign players. Hell, we brought in Cisse to bolster our striking options in January, one of few English clubs to do significant business in the window. Just because we're not being held to ransom for targets doesn't meat the club isn't looking to sign players. We didn't sign Mariappa because he was only a stop gap, which is what Willo is. Why gamble on a championship CB when there's a better signing to come? Ultimately you can't say either way if Pardew is being completely backed financially or is having to make do with more financially viable targets. another person joined the "I'm not explaining this again" list. Last time. There has been a lot of money for over 12 months now to improve that team, 25m quid has not been given to the manager, meanwhile we could have nailed a Europa League spot by now if it had been and could even be looking higher. What is it about this that you don't understand ? I realise that the likes of Gemmill, Renton and the grey man [who seems to have disappeared again when he's up against it] think such comments are the sign of a "madman", but what a shame they can't reply intelligently and with substance rather than drag the message board down and blame someone else. So you're not alone. -

WRONG. If you're going to use the Carroll money example, at least get the figures right. I'm not using anything as an "example", I'm saying the club is withholding money from the manager from sales, that could be used to further strengthen the team. I just know you won't understand. -

your lowering the tone of the message board again, you silly boy. And you still haven't replied intelligently either. -
haha, Gemmill puts me on ignore, then declines to respond to my own request to comment on what he has called rubbish for years. You really couldn't make it up, the amount of big bairns on these message boards. I've made my comments about that post, follow the link.........Gemmill even denies that he backed Souness and his reckless spending right up to the day he was sacked, and he calls himself an accountant He'll be lecturing other people about "ruining the message board" again next. What a sad, sad person.

before your time son, as I said. Look through the old database if you can though. I wouldn't dispute it if I were you, the last time this happened was people saying nobody booed after finishing 5th, until the proof turned up on nufc.com Wrong on that (HF just proved it) you're gonna be wrong about this. So either you admit you just made another thing up or you answer the question, as you seemed a bit specific with the 'point fingers' bit, like you knew. So I ask again: who said Williamson was better than Taylor? lots of people lad. Look it up, trophyshy has just confirmed it. You should listen and not question.
