you are wrong. You have been wrong for all this time, and you are still wrong. He HAS and IS and WILL continue to sell the best players, and NOT back the manager with the money. He IS and WILL CONTINUE to sell a player if an operational profit is not obtained, because it is easier and less risky for him to gamble on reaching the higher league positions and the Champions League places. He IS running the club as a vehicle to sit alongside Sports Direct, he IS happy with preserving premiership status which IS the main priority in order to promote Sports Direct, and this IS the main target for this very purpose, with minimum outlay, anything further than that is a bonus. He HAS [and STILL IS] lowered expectations among foolish supporters who are now content to swap aiming for success for a good balance sheet. He will NOT match the league positions of his predecessors on a consistent basis, so far he has not done this, and this will continue. bump

Howay HF, I expect Howl at the Moon stuff from Leazes, but I thought you more rational. Carroll was sold because of the batshit mental fee we were offered, Jose wanted to go, but everybody else that went has been improved upon. We're not the asset stripping club that Leazes makes us out to be. We are. If you are right, you could point to the fee for Carroll and what the manager did with it. Otherwise you are wrong. Billionaire's don't like to fail (or be also rans) at anything they do, they'll do it 100% their way though. T'is one of the things I'm optimistic about. What would be interesting ( and something I doubt we'll know until after his reign) is what exactly his measure of success is? Having reviewed the bet I can see you now wish to profit from a lack of relative success at the club. that's why i stopped bothering with him. i can take the endless repetition of his agrument to a point. it was when he continually made stuff up and accused me of saying stuff i never did (without the proof to support his assertions) that i gave up engaging with him.
