  1. and you accuse me of fudging Wait until all those players are sold, before you open your mouth, if I were you. That goes for the others too. Fudging what exactly? By the way does it matter if players are sold as long as we bring in equal or better players in to replace them and we keep pushing forward? It's something Arsenal did for years successfully , were they in fact taking the wrong approach too? myth. Arsene Wenger has made some canny big mistakes in the transfer market, just like everyone else. How long do you think you can keep finding "better" players to replace the ones that are sold ? Why haven't you told Alex Ferguson about this amazing idea of yours ? Not being funny, but this is just not sustainable, nobody has ever done it before. At the end of the day, success is down to ambition, money and paying the going rate sometimes, it always has been and always will be.
  2. He's already knocked you back once in the 90s... aren't you English
  3. One player on his own isn't relevant but when you add him to Ba, Krul, Coloccini, Tiote and Cabaye it is exciting times, don't you agree? My reply to your point about Wise is the same as it was the other day when you asked, what I've always said is that the club needs a solid scouting network that is the clubs rather than the managers, the reason for this is that if the manager leaves the foundations for the network are still here and will remain here, unlike the time when we sacked everyone and were left with Roeder attempting to scout a player that had already agreed to sign for someone else while trying to get the team ready for the season to start. I never once said it would be a guaranteed success, that's you making things up and accusing people of saying them. What I did say was managing a football club from top to bottom is too much now for just one man and the days of the manager training, scouting, negotiating contracts is over apart from maybe Man Utd but that is down to how long Ferguson has been in the job, you can bet his replacement won't get that freedom. One thing I've always said is that the manager should have the final say on what players come in to the club, to which your reply at the time was that it would make the DOF nothing more than a glorified scout, that maybe the case as we're seeing with Graham Carr now but I'm very happy with the current set up of having Carr being independent from Pardew. I've been banned from Newcastle online so I won't be going back, similar to CT I upset a few of the Ben Arfa fan boys by questioning his ability to play in a number 10 role for us and little Dave too for saying he was a Leeds fan when he was at school. and you accuse me of fudging Wait until all those players are sold, before you open your mouth, if I were you. 4. and youve the nerve to mock others naivety. read the next 3 words man
  5. Tell you what Baggy, why don't you admit that you thought the DOF setup headed by Wise would bring automatic success, simply on the basis of being a DOF setup, and was superior to the management setup headed by Keegan ? Then when you have done that, tell us that you also thought that the same system employed by Spurs would also do the same under Ramos before Redknapp ditched it. Then tell us why you have appeared back on here with your tail firmly between your legs ? My view is the same as always. The league positions we achieved from 1992 - 2007 will never be matched by the current owner, or anybody else who comes in and sells our best players and adopts a sell and replace policy. You see you can't even answer what I've asked you as it would hurt you so much to admit on first appearances he looks like a good player, absolutely pathetic. I've always answered your questions in the past by the way, even though it's often a waste of time as you ignore the answers and refer back to your Leazes post generator. One last try Leazes, what did you think of CIsse on his debut? good player, is one player relevant ? Is he Demba Ba's replacement though ? I've just almost been banned for answering everybody's questions, I'm not doing it again when they just complain that I don't agree with them. Are you going to admit what I've asked you ? When are you going back to Newcastle Online ?

Then tell us why you have appeared back on here with your tail firmly between your legs ? I've always looked at the entire period of 1992 - 2007 as being under the same owners, because that was always the case. I'm not getting into this again, Keegan was appointed without Sir John Halls knowledge and after the club went PLC nobody owned it outright. Denis Cassidy acknowledges this in his book too. My view is the same as always. The league positions we achieved from 1992 - 2007 will never be matched by the current owner, or anybody else who comes in and sells our best players and adopts a sell and replace policy.
  7. maybe not. I wouldn't really be concerned about the public [laughing], these things tend to get overstated anyway, for everybody who laughed there would be someone who thought they had at least asked the best candidate. Besides, people aren't in football to be popular,or shouldn't be, they are in it to win and if you win then you make yourself popular. Next best is Mourinho, or Arsene Wenger, both being longer term options.
  8. and he'd laugh and tell you to sod off all they can do is offer it to him. If he doesn't want it it's his prerorgative.
  9. If I were on the FA I'd offer it to Alex Ferguson, personally.
  10. Stuart Pearce has a shit record as a manager like.
  11. you've bickered with me for years, insisting everything I said was wrong ie the use of the club as a vehicle for Sports Direct, the lowering of ambitions, the transformation into a selling club, the fact that he would never match the european and champions league qualifications etc etc.........and all you said the other day was cast a comment about my mental state of health [for correctly sticking to my guns], which is what the mods and admin should REALLY be clamping down on in my opinion. You can't even respond to where I drew attention to it, yet on top of blocking me because you don't want to read what I say anymore [ah diddums] you're still harping on and denying everything, and holding double standards. You're a big baby, you're pathetic.
  12. http://www.guardian....uardianreview24 I've got this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Simon-Kuper-Stefan-Szymanski-Why-England-Lose-And-other-curious-phenomena-expl-/400270811597?pt=Non_Fiction&hash=item5d31ffe1cd#ht_3170wt_948 but I'll get the one you link or one of the others mate, ta.
  13. generally, in most cases, they should wait until they have finished their careers, because as you say they are crap and the only reason to do it is to coin it in.
  14. I loaned that to a couple of Leeds supporters when I lived in Scarborough. They both liked it [although one of them wouldn't admit it]
  15. which ones have you read ? Mag for all seasons and They wonder why we drink. I've always found his writing really entertaining. sorry Davey, I meant NUFC books other than the Billy Furious ones.
  16. Renton, I reckon you ought to remind numerous people ie mancmag and Gloomy for starters, that they have bickered with me for years and won't admit they have been wrong, especially Gloomy. I've explained myself enough over the years, the long term posters, rather than a 16 year old kid who wasn't even born in 1992, will know exactly what I mean. But you won't. Anyway, I've said I intend to stop this, so be consistent in your criticisms if you can.
  17. actually, quite correct. [Faints with shock]
  18. apologies if its been posted already, but just had a text. "Spurs have announced that the reserve team will resume full training as from tomorrow, now that they have concluded their Jury Service"
  19. Pointless, this. I've answered him, once, hoping he gets it, and that is the last time.
  20. indeed they have, but they will have to do it a lot more than once for me to be wrong. No buddy it only needs to happen once for you to be wrong. Admit it. You said it would NEVER happen (you used capitals to emphasise this too). Admit it, admit it, admit it. This is why you're generally fucking disliked, shit like this. I even gave you numerous quotes from when you stated this. You also bleat on about not being afraid to admit it when you do get it wrong. Basically, you're a lying old bastard on top of everything else everyone says about you no buddy, as I have said elsewhere, we qualified for europe before with a shit board, so its possible. A real progressive club would qualify more than once and use it as a springboard to attempt to qualify for the Champions League. My view is that he would sell players and break up the team and carry on the sell and replace policy rather than build and improve, because he is a retailer by instinct and will take the sale when he can, and doesn't understand football. I'm trying to be constructive here, you aren't going to change my mind, only Mike Ashley can do that, and if he does, then I will be more than happy to admit I am wrong unlike numerous others on here who I bet won't do the same when he [again] starts selling players and maybe even loses the manager as a result.
