  1. I hope Fish will take action about this blatant lie. You said right up to the end that they should be allowing him to buy his own players, and you know it.
  2. you can quote this thread or any other in a few years time. As I said, you may be pissing your pants at a few wins, but when you've supported the club for more than 5 minutes you tend not to get carried away. How many times have you seen NUFC play again ? A comment on the clips from the book would be canny, but I suppose it is way beyond your knowledge and comprehension of the club, like most people who have commented in this thread so far.
  3. Kevin Keegan's never said the previous owners could or would do a better job. The previous owners have said the previous owners couldn't and wouldn't do a better job. Ashley is always open to offers for the club and the man you say would be doing better isn't interested, even at a price lower than he was bought out for, cos he knows he can't do any better if he were to invest or find others to support him in trying. We agree Ashley will always be a shit but the game has moved on since the 90's as everyone but you realise. Just criticise Ashley on his own terms. I can imagine your da telling you how shit the halls and Shepherd are because they never matched the trophy haul of the Westwoods. why did Keegan walk out again ? The most hilarious [and sad] thing about some posters on here, are those [not you, I respect your views] who haven't supported NUFC for 5 minutes if at all, trying to tell me about the club and how the club ought to be run as an attempt to be successful. When you have seen the sort of setup like we have now, operating for the thick end of 30 years, you tend not to go around pissing your pants in excitement at a few wins.
  4. Completely agree. The fact it clearly pisses off LM is the icing on the cake. Shows what a sad man he is tbh. how many years upfront in season tickets have you paid for to "not enjoy", you utter, utter sad idiot ?
  5. But not embarrassing for the man sanctioning the spending, you logically bereft bellend. unlike you, you won't find a post by me saying I actually supported that spending, you logically bereft bellend ACCOUNTANT. Which also goes to show that contrary to what other logically bereft bellends have claimed, I have NEVER supported everything they did either, although I have pointed this out numerous times too, so maybe they also can't read. Unfortunately, when Pardew goes and a less capable manager is appointed, everything I am saying will be crystal clear to even the biggest bellend.
  6. you let yourself down HF, I didn't think you would make juvenile remarks like some of the others like this. All NUFC fans hope the team wins, all this is, is PR. If people don't agree with my view because it's me saying what I'm saying, why not take notice of Kevin Keegan saying it ?
  7. No matter what people say to you, your response always consists of the shortest route to the words "selling our best players". People are bored of playing 7 degrees of Leazes bingo. because, it's such a basic and essential ingredient to success in football, it's mind boggling how many self proclaimed intelligent people are unable to grasp it. In fact, it's little short of fucking hilarious.
  8. Talking of chimps, hey Gemmill, are you still backing throwing money at Souness ? The flowchart in action, you parody of a man. why not answer the question, or comment on the clips from the book ? How embarrassing for an accountant to back the wasting of millions like you did ?
  9. what a shame nobody can actually comment on the clips from the book, instead of derailing the thread with mind-numbing rubbish.
  10. Talking of chimps, hey Gemmill, are you still backing throwing money at Souness ?
  11. Okay, what I'm about to say it very basic. We had the 14th largest revenue in European football but still managed to make a loss of £15m. The following season we lost £33m, the one after that we lost £20m. Regardless of turnover, no club can go on making those sort of losses unless they have a megarich owner prepared to make up the shortfall. Under the previous regime we did not have the owners with the ability or willingness to underwrite those size of losses. Do you understand? The players would have played for free in the end if push came to shove though. Just had to be asked nicely. That is how you HOLD ON to your best players. The truly successful clubs have been doing it for years, though it comes as no surprise to me I should have to spell this out to YOU! how embarrassing are you.
  12. actually, its the lack of understanding of football, from so called knowledgeable football supporters, which is hilarious. Especially ones who are blinded by hatred of people who propelled the club forward massively and are so hypocritical they actually criticise the very people who attracted them and thousands of others back to the club in the first place.
  13. I'm sure it should be very simple for a financial whizz kid like Mike Ashley, or even you, to do better than the hopeless Fred. So please tell us how, after 4 years, he hasn't managed to cut costs enough to avoid selling his best players and withholding money from the manager when you have the 14th biggest turnover in world football ? How much more revenues do you need, than to be the 14th biggest in the world, to avoid having to sell your best players and withhold the money from your manager, and decide not to pay the going rate for top footballers in terms of fees and wages ? Yes, it's basic enough, even for you.
  14. my point stands, as it always has done. Newcastle United under Mike Ashley will NEVER match those league positions of the old regime until or unless he stops selling our best players and backs his managers completely when the occasional one leaves to one of the major world clubs ie Real Madrid, Barca, ManU [maybe]. This is the only way to behave if you want consistent success, and it is has been proven in football ever since the professional game began. I realise some of the bairns and stupid element will interpret that as a guarantee, but that is stupid as saying having a shot at goal guarantees a goal, not really my problem is someone is stupid enough to think that. One good season, great. The first one in 5 years, but look at the longer term too. You need to back your managers and stop selling your best players.
  15. and the more ridiculous your moaning looks. I take it you are finally going to admit that you wanted rid of "Fred" for an ambitious board....oh wait a moment, you're moaning on wanting an ambitious board aren't you. Do you have one or don't you ? You're the biggest and stupidest hypocrite on here chum. See my previous posts.
  16. What do you think of our new striker Leazes? isn't it a shame that we haven't spent the rest of the Carroll money on a couple more players like that - or even kept Enrique for instance ? This isn't rocket science mate. Is it ? Do you seriously not understand this ? You know and I know, and everybody knows, our best players will be gone when acceptable bids come in for them, and more money will disappear. Can anybody tell me how you can be a progressive club aiming to challenge where NUFC ought to be, and behave like this ? Somehow, I think one or two of the younger element wil just hurl abuse at me, and one or two of the stupid element will actually believe such a thing is possible despite every successful football club there has ever been, has done this by backing their managers. How many more times do people need to have this explained ? At the moment we are doing very well because of a good manager making the most of having his hands tied behind his back, we had occasional good runs under McKeag, Seymour etc too but it was thrown away through not attempting to go further and the same will happen again, the attitude stands out a mile, it is obvious and has been obvious for years.
  17. explained many, many times. My suggestion to you is : start going to games, open your perspective, and look at how successful clubs become successful. Explain then; how is pushing for a CL spot the same as nearly getting relegated to Div 3?! And how is me not going to games going to change that fact? I live hundreds of miles away and work most weekends around seeing my family. Unfortunately I don't live in a nursing home Tyneside. The only thing you have to do other than go to matches is pissing yourself, writing in to Watchdog complaining about the 1p rise in a loaf of bread and writing utter bollocks on Newcastle forums. stupid boy. The above juvenile rubbish, is exactly why it is pointless replying to you.
  18. Please expand on the bit in bold. The bit in green doesn't even make sense you blend! there's only one bellend here chum.
  19. please explain why a club with the 14th biggest turnover in football [and had reached the heights of 8th] need to sell their best players and withhold the money from the manager ? Not being funny, but this is just soooooo basic, I can't see why people aren't getting it.
  20. with the view you have, I'm not surprised you don't get it, even though I've explained it numerous times. Its idiots like you, that keep needing to have the obvious explained all the time that ruin these message boards and are responsible for threads becoming derailed. You've spoke less than a dozen posts of any sense in years.
  21. explained many, many times. My suggestion to you is : start going to games, open your perspective, and look at how successful clubs become successful.
  22. I can tell you haven't been in the playground lately. Do you monitor playgrounds closely Leazes ?? isn't it what you do instead of going to games ?
  23. so you aren't going to the match then ?
