New Computer

Going to ComputerOrbit tomorrow to get the parts for a new computer, got a budget of about £500 for the computer excluding GFX Card because I've already got 7900GT. Already have 1.5GB of DDR3200 RAM so if I can get a motherboard which is compatible with that it will be great.

Any recommendations for parts please? :)

you need a liquid cooled quadruplexed parallel processor with integrated hyperspeed mufflogic pre-processor

if he tries to quote you over £300 for that, tell him to get fucked, you could build it yourself for that, and then spit in his face

go core2duo if you can, they are fucking quick.

the core2 duo e6600 is the one to go for (£225)

good motherboards are around £100

onboard sound is fine for most people.

i presume you are going to use your existing hard drives? and cd/ dvd drives?

To be fair, it's all about what you want to use the PC for. eg, I built mine to be a DAW so didn't require high-end graphics card, but desperately required a top-notch PCI audio interface, and studio monitors (the speaker kind) to go along with it. If I were building one to play games on, the specs. would be very different.
