Hernia op for Parker

SCOTT Parker has travelled to Germany for a hernia operation and will miss Newcastle United's final game of the season at Watford on Sunday.

The skipper won't be with the Magpies at Vicarage Road but is expected to be fit to return for pre-season training after the summer break.

Parker has made 40 appearances for the black and whites this term and has found the net three times.

Is that why he's been shite for a while then?

Probably a combination of that, playing for a manager who's fucking clueless and getting stick of the crowd every time he spins round in the middle of the park but keeps posession!

Skol never actually sees Parker play other than when he's on telly tbh. He's borrowed his "Parker is shit" opinion from HTL.

I invented the 'Parker is shit' opinion. I simply loaned it to HTL while I was out defending Albert Luque.

Three goal in 40 matches is shit though.

As is 4 in 45 for Milner, but you don't see him getting criticised for not scoring enough

Parker has scored 4 times also btw..

It's not good for an attacking midfielder but despite Roeder seemingly wanting to play him that way I've never seen anything to suggest that's what he is.

Last season he was excellent as a holding player which is where he should be playing.

And he most definitely is an attacking midfielder!

What about Butt though?

Butt has came back into the team and done excellent tbf and he deserves to get the place ahead of Parker at the minute. And for me there is only one place that the two of them should be fighting over (except perhaps if we are playing away against any of the top four).

But overall I think Parker is a better a player than Butt.

Why is he going to Germany for a hernia op?

That's where Shearer had his with a revolutionary surgeon, a woman iirc, that pretty much halves the recovery time.

Done a bit of digging - this is the wifey:

Rather unusual to specialise in operating on hernias but I imagine she's raking it in with all the athletes she operates on.

I wonder if anyone does that kind of surgery over here; a surgeon told me that it was completely unnecessary to fly Owen to Colorado for his ACL repair as he could have done it much better than Steadman, but he went over there as Steadman is "fashionable".

What attributes do you think make Parker the better player? Personally I think Parker is all effort and little ability.

It will be interesting to see if a good manager can get the best out of him, because to be fair to him we've had absolute spastics both managing and coaching him since he signed.
