Scottish Mag 3 Posted May 11, 2007 Share Posted May 11, 2007 SCOTT Parker has travelled to Germany for a hernia operation and will miss Newcastle United's final game of the season at Watford on Sunday. The skipper won't be with the Magpies at Vicarage Road but is expected to be fit to return for pre-season training after the summer break. It's not good for an attacking midfielder but despite Roeder seemingly wanting to play him that way I've never seen anything to suggest that's what he is. That's where Shearer had his with a revolutionary surgeon, a woman iirc, that pretty much halves the recovery time. I wonder if anyone does that kind of surgery over here; a surgeon told me that it was completely unnecessary to fly Owen to Colorado for his ACL repair as he could have done it much better than Steadman, but he went over there as Steadman is "fashionable".
