MattM4 0
Good for him. He really is something special! If only he could have stopped off through here http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/artic...VJarhYBWmRxh5VQ Real Madrid sign Huntelaar from Ajax MADRID (AFP) — Spanish champions Real Madrid, plagued by injuries and poor form this season, have signed Dutch international striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from Ajax for 27 million euros, the two clubs said Tuesday. The 25-year-old is expected to replace another Dutchman, Ruud van Nistelrooy, who will miss the rest of the season after a knee operation. "Huntelaar is now officially a new player at Real Madrid," the club said in a statement, which praised "his great positioning, opportunism and intelligence." "The agreement is of course contingent upon the player passing a physical and signing his contract with Real Madrid," which would keep him at the club until June 30, 2013. Ajax said the transfer fee was 27 million euros (34 million dollars) -- a fixed payment of 20 million euros and a "variable" fee of seven million euros. Stephen 0
Good replacement for van Nistelrooy, seeing as how he's getting on a bit and he's out for the season. Time to see if Huntelaar can score the goals in a more challenging league.

blaugrana909 0
so is he playing for them now or what? transfer windows and all He's eligible to start playing from January 2. But honestly, only at Madrid would the solution to an injury crisis be to sign another injured player! He's not match fit right now anyway, let's see when he'll be ready to go. No doubt he's a class act though, he'll do very well in Spain. Edited December 4, 2008 by blaugrana909
