UK Price Hikes To Come

Recommended Posts

They can fuck off.

£55 for a game is just silly and they wont get that from me.

I have much better things to spend my money on.

Thank god this game comes out 6 days after my Birthday and on pay day. Not sure I would bother paying that price if it didn't. And for nearly 60 quid it better be a fucking awesome game.

Can pre-order from Argos with the code 'GAME20' for £35 supposedly.

EDIT: Just tried it now and it isn't working.

hm, how do we stop people just stealing/cracking our games

thats it, put an unreasonably huge markup on them

Ironically, of course, it's probably largely because the latest generation with the ridiculous X install DRM stuff has cause sales to collapse.

Reminds me of a garage that whose managers used to put hourly rates up when they were a bit short, in reality although they made more profit per hour they made less profit in total because less people took their cars in. Idiots did it for years, even though their "alex" told them it was self-destructive.

I liked the single player in CoD4, but hated the MP. GoW1 was much better. I actually own CoD5 but I've still never got round to opening the seal! (got a dead cheap through an internet deal).

By all accounts, it's crap, so I don't think I'll even bother with CoD6. I know about the differences in the publishers etc, just think I'm done with the franchise.

I dont play on my xbox that much so I'm becoming really picky about games now.

EDIT: Found this posted on the above article -

Modern Warfare 2 for Xbox360 or PS3 can be ordered for £35.99 from Argos.co.uk

You will need to enter promo code Game20 to reduce it to £35.99 from 44.99
