Barton to offer Carroll advice

Barton seems to have sorted himself out since he became teetotal.

Hopefully this run in the team lasts and he might improve a wee bit more. Needs to cut out the silly mistakes, he seems too relaxed at times. Maybe he is meditating too much.

Thought his passing was better on Saturday though. He still gave it away a bit too much but it was a massive improvement on the last 3 or 4 games where his passing has been atrocious. Great ball in for the 2nd too.

My thoughts exactly and I just hope he can get through the mackem game unscathed either from them or the ref. Think he'll be like a man posessed.

Cattermole should easier to wind up than Barton.

Barton has been there and done it and he proved his maturity in the Wolves game.

Aye. He got kicked all over the park in that game and the ref gave him nothing. He did really well to just keep playing and not rise to it. He's not put a foot wrong this season so far imo. I think some of this on-field problems with passing etc is coming form lack of match practice. He's getting better with games which is good as he's going to be a key player for us this season.

His cross for the 2nd was class and he was involved in the 1st iirc.
