But one thing of note is Israel are supposed to collaborate in secret with KSA on intelligence matters etc despite not having formal diplomatic relations. And given they claim to care so much about Khashoggi and his widow there’s another thing - there was widespread speculation that Khashoggi was killed for mocking MbS in private. It’s thought this was known about due to having sophisticated spyware on Khashoggi’s electronic devices. Which is another nod to the idea that perhaps proletarian football fans aren’t necessarily at the forefront of geopolitical discourse and shouldn’t be expected to be.
