Well that rule that KD posted about fouls outside continuing into the box being pens doesn't apply at the African Cup of Nations because VAR have just awarded a free kick in the exact same circumstances as Burn's in the Nigeria vs South Africa game.

Same happened at Bristol City v Leeds.
