  3. I absolutely fucking hated when Allardyce was NUFC manager. What an absolute monster arsehole the bloke is. just fucking unbearable. Still think it says a lot about the mackems that they love him.

  5. Only problem with this is it give the pundit and radio cunts who only watch motd more ammo to say we are idiots for wanting better. We will look decent in the highlights and Chris Sutton and Robbie Savage will be on baiting people into bites tomorrow.

  8. Don't know if was cabbageheed's decision or the back 3 worked it out themselves but I think playing Schar as the centre of three was a brilliant decision and helped his game. Clark being the organiser in the back was able to keep him in check positionally and we all know he's got the ability as a player. Also having FF on the right of the back three helped keep that side tighter as with Schar and Yedlin together they tend to lose positional sense leaving a gaping hole where our rightside of defence should be. Whatever we paid for Clark has been a bargain, when fit he should be first defender on the teamsheet.

  9. Going forward we were nothing without Wilson. Defensively we rode our luck a few times. In between we were lucky that Liverpool were off their game and we showed a semblance of competence at times. It’s pathetic that this is seen as something to celebrate but this is Newcastle United in 2020.

  10. Shades of Rafa micromanaging from the touchline there when the camera panned to Steve Bruce with his hands up in the air shouting to his side "fucking hell"

  13. after reading your post and re-reading mine I've decided 'ever present at matches' was inadvertently very ugly mackems like. I've edited my post to 'as somebody who went to quite a lot of matches' which sounds a lot less shite. apologies to all and sundry! 😀

  15. Fuck off 2020, let's hope 2021 is less of an adventure. Stay safe all and happy no longer this cunt of a year. Had tickets to see these guys for two rescheduled gigs this year, obviously didn't happen so this is as close as we get.

  16. Wraith is a total gobshite who has fabricated an entire backstory of pub bouncing and being pally with hard men to enhance his reputation as a boxing promoter IIRC. I think his extent of being friendly with The Krays was writing letters to one of them in prison ( ) because his parents ran a post office and had his P.O. Box or whatever they use. Reading Amazon reviews of his “books” is very insightful

  17. Nailed it. I think Hayden and M.Longstaff were absolutely vital in this. If Shelvey had been on the pitch we would have lost this game. Not just because of the hair trigger on his Hollywood passes, but how little effort he puts in to press or just make himself available for the pass. Longstaff Jr looked leggy as the game went on, which is understandable, and I'd have preferred him replaced with his brother, instead of swapping left backs. Also, Gayle or Almiron for Joelinton rather than keeping him on the pitch when his limited influence had Wayned. Nit picking aside, that was a good performance and, like the Everton game, should be the blueprint for games going forward. Set up like that against lesser sides and our midfield/attack will have more chances as well.

  24. I seen them at Newcastle arena once and it was funny as fuck. Paul Stanley with this huge silver heels on flying about the arena on a wire doing a guitar solo The bass player stopped playing, a spotlight hit him he began to vomit what looked like his internal organs before springing up 25ft on to the stand of the stage. Worth a watch.

  29. It's a real shame that we've been without Fraser and ASM as those two should be able to take advantage of his movement. Way more effectively than Murphy and Joelinton who just don't can't do it at this level (yet). I'd honestly go with the same setup; 5 at the back, two hardworking midfielders, those two as wider attacking players and Wilson up front. Gives us a solid defense and pace and movement up front. If ASM is on the left side play Dummett or Ritchie behind him. If he's on the right play Manquillo or (at a push) Krafth.

  30. I once saw Wraith on the doors at the Goose in the Garden about 5 mins before kickoff, several years back. Which doesn’t particularly enhance his reputation as a hard man or as being ever present at matches.

  31. He played a season with a bad hip injury. He never looked like he could last 90 minutes after. Him and Lua Lua v Leverkusen - looked a very good young player.

  34. I wasn’t saying you were calling him good.I can only comment on what I’ve seen of him. What he’s done elsewhere interests me before he plays for us.Fumaca,Gavilan,Hamilton ( Des not Lewis) must have looked canny before signing for us,although George Graham blows that theory out the water, and then you have the Milton Nunez signing, which I won’t let my makem ‘friends’ forget. I see nothing in his game. He’s shown nothing on the left, right or as the lone striker. His heading is poor.I’ve yet to see him spread the play, shoot on target from a distance, put a lovely cross in from either wing.Nee crunching tackle, nee real aggression.I do see him go down every game with an ‘injury’.He’s far from fast.Shite is probably the best word to describe him.If we sold him we wouldn’t get £10m for him.Who would sign him on what they’ve seen of him playing for us? Hey,like you I’d love to see him turn into a footballer but I cannot see it happening in this country.
