I once got stuck in the traffic for that on the way down to a wedding in Yorkshire. Booled in just as the ceremony was winding up. Fucking NAILED IT! That's how you do weddings.6 points

Lots of fuckin FIFA/FM ninnies on the bird app filling their nappies in mid July We could often accurately predict what would happen in a window under Ashley and penfold. Itās different now, we absolutely donāt know more than Ashworth, Eddie and their backroom teams. Iāve just read some foetus saying āOMG I CANT BELEIVE WEāLL BE HEARING THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE MUSIC WITH ALMIRON AND BURN STOOD IN THE LINE UPā its just such a crock of shitā¦.no one outside of the NUFC training ground knows whatās going on. If I had to guess thereās something about Diaby that doesnāt suit top clubsā approach to the game ie pressing ability. Fully intend to enjoy whatās left of the summer and then enjoy the season, itās going to be fuckin great š6 points

It wasn't an IT issue, you giant tit. It was literally a "you've collapsed the entire forum with your big daft spacca fingers". You were standing in front of the closed fridge asking your lass why you couldn't see its contents.4 points

Just checked and in the same time period, big spending Man City have spent ā¬2.5bn since 1992. ā¬500m to not only catch a consistently high spending opposition, but overtake them from a position of yoyoing obscurity.4 points

When you look at these 3 and 4 hundred thousand quid fines being handed out to Man United and Barcelona by UEFA for breaking FFP rules, it feels like we should just take the fucking handbrake off and start going wild in the aisles.3 points

This was my concern, his Bournemouth team took the piss up here when we went down under McLaren, (it's funny how he fades from the memory, good coach apparently, tragic manager), however, the team we had up to Howe's appointment didn't scream out anything other than 'down' and I just thought as good as his teams could play they could also be a bit of a soft touch and we were probably the softest touch around when he came into the job. I thought he was the right appointment at the wrong time but give him his due, he did his homework on the players and also got them to buy into his way of working on and off the ball, gave them some confidence and belief but his greatest achievement early on was to thoroughly get Steve Bruce out of their systems, the players were downbeat as it must've been crystal clear Bruce was a 100% defeatest ten years past his sell by date and just going through the motions dragging their footballing reputations with him.3 points

Aye standard sourdough recipe and just chop it into portions once it's ready to go. 50g starter 500g white flour 350g water 7g salt. Do the usual proving shenanigans (YouTube foodbod sourdough for the process, her method is a piece of piss and works every time. No kneading, no flour all over the fucking place. All done in a bowl) and then chop into portions and shape into base. You can even freeze some to use another time.3 points

They're a poor impoverished club, battling against the odds to compete with big spending rivals scraping by on - checks notes- ⬠986,600,000.00 in his Klopp's 8 seasons, on top of ā¬1bn spent since the inception of the Premier League. Also bear in mind, this is nigh on ā¬2bn spent on top of a team that was challenging for the title 18 of the previous 20 seasons and last finished outside the top 8 in 1962. Poor lambs.3 points

Must admit Im pretty chilled for next season. Think it will be a little bit of a backward step with all the games and overall squad quality, followed by another leap forward the season after. Slowly and gradually getting rid of the dross, a few first team signings and real quality in the under 21 department. Nothing but good times ahead.3 points

Morning Dr G. Was just having a read through here and wondered if your view had change and for that matter, the view of those around you, given the likes of the CEO of Blackrock calling Crypto digitalised Gold and that "Bitcoin has the power to revolutionalise Finance". Add to that The likes of the major players like Blackrock and fidelity etc all applying for Bitcoin ETF's.3 points

It feels to me like we are very ready to walk away from deals that dont suit us. Diaby they were asking too much, it was like 80m euros last summer right? Now villa are bidding 35 and I havent seen any real indications that weve been back in for him since last summer. We're not interested in bidding wars hence leaving maddison and leicester eventually sold him for about two thirds what they wanted from us. Szoboszlai by all accounts only wanted liverpool once they showed interest so we didnt bother going at it since we'd probsbly have to pay a lot more than them to convince him. At this stage its fine, we are still demonstrating that we wont be taken the piss out of on fees (diaby) and we arent such a good team that there are only a small number of players who will improve us so we move on when we dont like the deal for whatever reason (maddison/szoboszlai)3 points

Agree with every word. No one had survived from the position we were in. I wasnāt too disappointed after we appointed him, mostly due to being fairly resigned to relegation anyway. I thought heād be good in the championship with a decent budget but his previous struggles with Bournemouth didnāt fill me with hope of staying up. Happy to be proved wrong..2 points

yeah, this is where i'm at. no sweat if we miss out on champions league football next season, if we have a european adventure this season and another good cup run. it's a marathon not a sprint. we'll get there eventually and might have to go backwards a little before we go forwards given how much we overachieved next season. all that being said, i wont be at all surprised if this lot drop £60m+ on some starlet we had no idea we were in for towards the end of the window as they did with isak last summer.2 points

If only we could rid ourselves of the dickheads on Twitter who seem to know who we are in for, what we have been quoted for players and who we should be buying. I go on there to look at some of the more credible accounts but within 60 seconds, I find the anger inside me as another arsehole denigrates the current squad and wants the transfer fairy to beat everyone to their target.2 points

How many teams around us have went on a spending spree anyway? In the league full stop? Man Utd have got Mount and thatās it, Chelsea are too busy selling 3/4 of their team, Arsenal seem like theyāre so hung up on Rice that they havenāt started addressing everywhere else. Spurs have brought a couple in but they had to considering they had such a poor season last year. Liverpool have bought a couple but again, they still feel like a team in transition and itāll take a few windows for them to get back to their best. Even Villa, who are apparently going to now be unbeatable, have only brought in two players, one of which was a free agent. Im sure in an ideal world, Howe would have them all in by the US tour but thatās not how it works2 points

It's the Great Yorkshire t'show this week. Just listening to the radio and a farmer is moaning about the effect climate change is having on the crops they're growing. How's the cows, sheep & chickens getting on eh flat cap bastards!2 points

It wouldn't be surprised if its a bit of both. Some NUFC Tax and we still have some players no doubt on MA wages. Lewis may not be on a massive wage compared to0 the likes of Tonali, but he's got a long contract. Also deals are pretty complex, they take time, I am sure the likes of Ashworth etc are grafting like fuck. We are carefully considering targets and not just for this season I am sure,2 points

yeah, could be just agent talk. Iām sure the club will have a list of targets, but it feels like the links with with Madison and Diaby were genuine because they occurred over several windows. Szobzolai Iām not sure - could well have been his agent trying to manufacture a bidding war. It does make you wonder if we have missed out on our top targets because weāre not prepared to have our pants pulled down, or if FFP is really constraining us. Or if the club was always working on different targets and word just hasnāt got out to the chicken tonight merchant2 points

Pretty sure the club wont want to go to the new season with the defensive backup options we have now. A new LB would allow Burn to cover CB, and we will probably sign a new CB too. Window closes on 1 September2 points

āWeā Edwards is the biggest wind up merchant going. Heās the same one that constantly attacks fans for being impatient, he likely will a week after this story. I get fans being impatient but his article is nonsensical, when you look at others around us weāre not really an outlier: Liverpool- brought in MacAllister & Szoboszlai probably the most advanced in the market so far. Brighton - lost Colwill & Macallister, brought in Joao Pedro, Dahoud, Milner and a keeper, under pressure of losing Caicedo Arsenal - Havertz in, Rice pending Man City - lost Gundogan, brought in Kovacic Villa- brought Pau Torres, Tielemans and a couple loans in Man U - Mount in Spurs - Maddison, Porro, and Solomon in, (didnāt count Kulu since he was already there) under pressure of losing Kane Newcastle - Tonali in, Barnes seemingly close. We have more weak points in the squad than a few of the teams listed but we still have around 2 months. I just think itās an overly negative article and further underlines how little info heās actually getting.2 points
