Appropriately, given how medieval the place is, it’s a bit like the dancing plague that happened in France, stress-induced mass hysteria, except instead of dancing, it’s sitting in their Mam’s attics bashing a keyboard whilst frothing at the mouth.5 points

Was going to say earlier - I wonder how long it’ll take for them to make this about us? A matter of nanoseconds apparently Yet again they invent some injustice involving us and then proceed to wind themselves up about it5 points

We've promised him a trip to the toy shop when he's all better. Little does he know that his mother and I are the arbiters of what 'all better' looks like. Gullibility must come from her side of the family.4 points

I don't think public do think it's a good idea do they? I suspect we'll see some polling on it over the coming days. This lot don't care anymore - they're not doing this as a vote winner, it's just the last opportunity they'll have in a while to enrich themselves and their friends.4 points

The Everton fans were even quicker to blame the PL "getting into bed with the Saudis" on them spending £125m more than they made - a year or two before the Saudis even took over.4 points

Most people being left something from a dead relative wouldn't pay tax anyway as the house and/or saving will fall below the £325k threshold. It's only people with a bucket load of dosh that benefit, but the average British voter are far too mentally deficient to realise that. "Hey you there, common scum. Would you like to pay less inheritance tax when your grandma kicks the bucket?" "Who me? Who comes from an entire family of people on low income jobs, who live in social housing, and who own absolutely fuck all, and have absolutely no savings because the cost of living is so ridiculous we're all living hand to mouth? Why yes we would like to pay less inheritance tax?" "Excellent. Vote Tory." "Will do"4 points

I wonder what they'd say if a more ordinary thinking Durham mackem (they tend to be more normal than the wearsiders) were to point out that we've only spent the money Ashley didn't spend so far. "Check his bank statements, marra. He's definitely a mag season ticket holder, him"4 points

Scouse Mackems deducted 10 points due to something that had the square root of fuck all to do with NUFC. SMB… Rent free.4 points

What was that saying in American politics, something about how your average voters see themselves as temporarily displaced millionaires or words to this effect? I put it down to that.3 points

Call me cynical but I remember when Spurs were deducted 12 points for tax irregularities and the first thing I said was that they'll win the appeal. They did.3 points

This lot man, fucking scum. Country is on its knees, record taxation, high inflation, public services beyond fucked. Yet Hunt thinks a tax cut for the richest 4% is needed. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/nov/17/jeremy-hunt-weighing-up-inheritance-tax-cut-autumn-statement Think I reas that would benefit Sunak's children some £300,000,000. What I want to know, is WHY THE FUCK would any normal person be in favour of cutting inheritance tax so this is a vote winner. Not only is it, imo, the most fair tax (as you have done nothing to earn it), it is one of the few levers to stop wealth trickling upwards generationally. Yet somehow, the British thick as fuck public has been brainwashed to think we should scrap it, even though it will not beneift them at all. Funny old World.2 points
