  1. We’re not going to manufacture sponsorship deals that’ll likely be blocked. We’re not going to sign stop gaps this January that’ll hamper our summer spending power either. Unless there’s a player we’re really after who becoming available it’ll be players with potential and/or loans. Not having a pop at you and I absolutely get the frustration on your part. But FFP and our being hyper scrutinised forces the club to play the long game. There’s a decent chance that’ll be better long term too. Which is not to say I don’t also find it extremely fucking annoying. As it would be totally different if they’d bought one of the media darlings

  2. Back home now. Meh. I'm more positive than before the match, still, knowing you are going to concede a last minute goal and it happening pretty much as you would imagine is still a kick in the nuts. Try to stay in the FA cup, and top 10 in PL. Then let's all start again next year. In Eddie I trust.

  3. I know I’m beating a dead horse at this point but the fact that we have an academy striker on the bench and he’s not even trusted with 15 minutes or so here and there is yet another aftershock of that CUNT Ashley that we’re feeling 2 years on. A criminal approach to the academy and it’ll take a good 3/4 seasons until we have even that kind of option, never mind a steady stream of young lads who are first team ready ala Miley or even saleable like Man City have done with the likes of Trafford and Lavia. It’s a fucking disgrace what he did to this club and we’re fully feeling it now. Right down to the commercial side of it fucking us with FFP after our initial spending

  4. When I see the reaction of some of our fans I really think a lot of them are just spoiled tossers who thought us getting taken over would be like playing football manager in sugar daddy mode. We do have a lot of catching up to do on so many levels that it is inevitable that there will be set backs and disappointments. But to start moaning that we aren’t able to defend a lead against arguably the best team in the world managed by arguably the best manager in the world is borderline retarded. It would have been difficult with a squad in full strength but obviously a huge task after weeks of playing with a depleted squad. Seriously some of our fans can fuck right off iyam

  5. Any bedwetters saying we should have attacked more…aye we did ask them to give us the ball but they told us to fuck off ffs. You need the ball to attack! And when we got it we tried. Gutting last minute goal and it’s not Trippiers fault ffs, it’s world class. We gave our best, that’s all we ask….isn’t it?? 12 first team players crocked or ill…bench weak as piss, I’ll call them if they’re dog shit, but not for that I won’t!

  6. Some of our club's, and some fans of other club's, can then, now and in the future, fuck right off. Same as it ever was.

  7. Mate, we’ve got most of our fucking attack and midfield injured He could have brought Willock, Joelinton, Murphy, Barnes, Anderson or Wilson on tonight but he can’t because they’re injured. If you can’t understand how that ties your hands from a tactical and game management standpoint, especially when the opposition has Kevin De Bruyne on the bench and is the literal best team in the world, then I’m not sure what to tell you

  9. Firstly, Ewerk is persona non grata and is absolute poison at the moment. You'd want to watch who you associate with because it's a foul stench that'a hard to rid yourself of. Secondly it's not one or the other. The only thing stopping us spending more money is FFP. The only point to be made about the Saudi League is that it's wholly separate to our operation. Any players there are not any more likely to come to us. The PIF take the league and their teams very seriously and aren't going to undermine them with any dodgy dealings. Plus the high quality players who are there are generally past their prime and on huge wages that we would be insane to match.

  10. The lads did themselves proud and you could see the improvement Howe was able to get out of them after a full week on the training ground. Their class and depth and our lack of a bench beat us in the end

  11. The fact he's scoring as many as he is with the limited service he gets shows his quality. He'd bang in 30 a season for Liverpool or City.

  12. Out for a family thing, get in at HT see the score, didn't fancy us one little bit today with Joe out so genuinely surprised and happy. The longer it goes on the more you think these might just fuck it as we're dead on our feet as per but they're not taking advantage then KDB comes on and just passes it in through schar's legs and waits till the very end to play in the kid for the winner. This season is a write off, we're not getting relegated so just have to suck it up a bit and hope we get better luck with injuries, maybe get a good deal with an incoming/outgoing transfer and go again next year but I'm fucking sick of these kick in the clem's, like.

  13. We should've left @LondonBlue's thread up man, he would have jinxed himself. Poor decision to remove his thread IMO. Hang your heads in shame admins.

  18. 100% so far this year. I’d also say that it’s only on a Fist match thread that you’ll get a bit of turkey dubstep thrown in for free.

  19. It’s the hope that kills you- which is not something we’d ever have said under the previous regime. Knuckle down, crack on, and we’ll get there, if that I have no doubt.

  20. Aye I expected us to get rodded by these today. That we didn't is a sort of positive - the defensive organisation, I mean. The manner of the defeat is devastating (a-fucking-gain) but the defeat itself should really have been expected.
