I've been offered a decent enough paid job at a good, growing company, still shifts but only 8's and maybe the odd half a shift on a Saturday morning every three weeks. It's been three months since I was made redundant and things were looking bleak job wise after I'd exhausted some good early leads because some of the few jobs available belonged in a Dicken's novel just going on the T&Cs. I honestly feel like crying with the relief of it. Easy to get to and no bad traffic time starts. Thank christ for that. Aaaaand breathe....13 points

Quite glad that Hughes isn't coming, purely for the Bournemouth connection, which doesn't seem healthy to me. Of course, this is from Edwards, so he is probably already here and has redecorated his office.7 points

"Retro's where it's at, mate. Nee one gives a fuck about Matt Targett when they can get my WORLD exclusive from Kieron Dyer about THAT time he and Lee Bowyer came to blows against Villa and Steven Taylor was that shocked he clutched his chest, fell down saying, 'I think I'm about to have a cardiac arrest, lads!'6 points

Aye there'll be enough goodwill for a short period of time if he's brave enough to make the statement that the last government's actions were all about salting the earth and trying to make life more difficult for everyone under a Labour government. I think, by now, the public are ready to hear the argument that the only way to improve public services is if we can pay for it, and all the last lot were doing was trying to buy your vote with tax cuts. You showed them you were above that by voting for a change, and now we all need to get on with the job of fixing the mess we've been left, and that starts with reversing some of the stupid decisions we've all been subjected to.4 points

I put it on for ten minutes as the second half kicked off, there were quite a few empty seats the whole time, must've been a long piss they were having?4 points

"Looka here bonny lad, ah bumped into Steve Nickson at Newcastle airport, ah was going to Beni with the lads for a long weekend and he said him and his lass were doing the same thing but going to Milan. He reckons their lass got a good deal if they flew to Bergamo and got the train to Milan as it's near. He might be telling the truth, he might not, but in this game you've got to chuck the odd dart in the hope of a bullseye, so NUFC in for Ederson from Atalanta?...... .....Why not? Lol. Ryder and fucking out, wor kid!"4 points

Aside from the financial losses their efforts to pull the Tories even further to the right have opened the door of No.10 to Keir Starmer. Great job all round, lads.3 points

Nice bit of budget coverage this am from Faisal Islam on the BBC. Making the seemingly bullshit claim that the public want lower taxes and a smaller state despite pressures on public services. Without providing any evidence. Then proceeding to ask if the public will blame the government for problems caused by the global economic climate and events like covid, which have caused a larger public sector. But didn’t mention Brexit being a cause of that too. And also failed to make reference to the self-inflicted stuff by Truss in relation economic pressures. Compare that to what you see on Channel 4 News and even GMTV. They’re an absolute fucking disgrace these days.3 points

You know that Southampton was founded by a Basque sailor from Bilbao, who brought a load of spare shirts from his club (which was definitely founded by Sunderland, I’ve seen the prewf ! )so I’d expect them to pay some respect to their true founders and only put 3-4 past them.3 points
