  1. Much friendlier schedule coming up this season I can’t realistically see us suffering anywhere near the same amount of injuries. Except Wilson who injured himself reading this comment.

  3. It’s all well and good saying rather spend the money on a right winger. Who though? We tried for Olise, which would have been class. He obviously chose Bayern. There isn’t anyone I see worth spending £60 million quid on imo, so do you hold your piss and wait until the right player becomes available maybe next year or spunk your money on someone you aren’t 100% on just to plug a gap? I think our transfer record shows we sign the right players, when they are available rather than players we are not sure on to plug holes. Which is probably why we got 2 left wingers at similar times. I still think we probably will buy a right winger this summer but haven’t a clue who it will be.

  4. He's such a little fanny. Bottled the debate and now he's trying to arrange another one, on Fox, with his favourite moderators, and with a crowd favourable to him. He's fucking shitting it.

  5. It's not illogical mate. Just you wait. 10 minutes of Almiron and everyone here will be tearing their hair (where available ) out in the match thread. Murphy is great in spurts but very average at other times. Both are good options as backup but RW is absolutely the top spot that needs strengthening as we all know but have been distracted by the FIRST exciting rumor of the summer I do think we'll probably strengthen both areas though. That or Howe better be working on a master plan to get the best out of Gordon on the RW.

  7. Hard to see how flying thousands of miles to play in mind melting heat is good preparation for the season ahead mind. If we want to bring the next generation of Japanese fans on board, just get Howe to headbutt Arteta, and avoid all this hassle.

  11. Ah right I see. SJP fans can't take flags at the end of the match, but fucking Wassy can! Harumph! *stirring the pot*

  12. Yeah I get that it’s the weakest spot atm. But do you, with limited resources, spend a large chunk on someone you might be replacing next summer if a better player comes along? Realistically having to spend twice. Or spend it on a centre back, who it appears is available now, and solves a position for 6-8 years, even though you can probably do without a centre until next year? Not my money, so I’m not really arsed and I think we will get both.

  15. Our issues last season were not in creating chances, it was the other end of the pitch, improving the defence is #1 priority for me. We’ve got our development/back up striker (if deal’s done) we need a CB. RW upgrade is third on my list.

  16. Even so. They need to set up exclusion zones and anyone who steps into them is in the van. Just pile them up in the street if you need to. Hogtied and humiliated (MF's favourite magazine). Get the Charleroi water cannons out.

  17. If you’re not excited at the thought of us being back to one game a week with a better squad than we had 2 seasons ago then, my friends, nothing will excite you

  23. The Knight Ryder seems very bullish on our chances of landing Guehi. Supposedly wages wouldn't be a problem and Guehi is open to joining us. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-united-determined-show-mean-29669733

  24. I don't think we have to make a direct replacement for Schar anyway. You just have to sign a very good centre half, and Guehi is one.

  28. Though I would say once Miley is fit I'd be looking to get him into the rotation ahead of Longstaff. If we don’t have any injuries there will be a glut of options through the middle between Bruno, Tonali, Joelinton, Willock, Miley, Longstaff.

  30. Cheers mate. Good day. Took the day off work with the family and went to Warkworth, river and beach walk, then Druridge Bay where I had a swim. Water was alright. Nice ice creams at Cresswell and now having tea at the Beehive in Earsdon. What a great place to live Northumberland is. I know this is the brown bread thread (canny rhyme that) but reminder to self to enjoy life while I can. 👍

  33. I was a trampolinist at school- regularly made it to the nationals but was never going to win as I was unlucky enough to be doing it at the same time as Richard Cobbing. Fucker was on another level He went in to Freestyle skiing and competed at the 94 Winter Olympics in the big air or whatever it’s called. At least half the reason I kept at it was the high quality perving on offer

  35. some legendry mackem hard man has apparently died and they've got a bit of a tribute thread going for him, which is fair enough I suppose. anyway, somebody's hoyed up a photo of their top lads from the fulwell in the early 70s and it's quite easy now to see why they've been windmilling mags with ease since, well, football began really. or another way to look at it... far left is clearly adam johnson's old man, no wonder he ended up going down for noncing, it was in his genes from the outset. front row left, denim boy is clearly deformed bless him. Just as well he's nails really because he'd struggle like fuck to run away if things took a turn for the worse. thankfully for the photo the young steve bruce has offered to support him and keep him upright (ish) the flame haired gemmill appears to have infiltrated their ranks, mind you, not surprised he wasn't scared to do so, of the two fuckers to his left, one would snap on a breezy day and the other cunt has to be in bed by half past seven. immediately behind the 10 year old warrior is a lad who having decided his crombie doesn't afford him as much respect as he'd like, bizarrely opts ro paint a ludicrous false sideburn on his face. job sorted. red polo shirt boy, either buy some boots or change your fucking trousers.
