I think Gordon, while not the best player at the club, is probably my favourite player for some time. As a person he just oozes class, works hard for the team, gets the club and hope he stays for years. I've been glad to have been proven wrong when I was seriously underwhelmed by him prior to his signing. For the last while, Miggy frustrates the life out of me, but while he wears our colours Ill be willing him on to getting back to scoring those worldies every other week. Gordon is one of a number of players who are below par at the minute but I'm really looking forward to when it does all start to click around the team again consistently. Maybe a decent RW option in Jan and Wilson staying fit will get him a consistent run in the side without being moved about and he will be back to his best. Of all our players he seems to be moved about the most, an argument for Big Joe could be made too At one point it was almost guaranteed that the opposition RB would get at least a yellow when Gordon played

I got moved to the back row of the gallowgate which was the new 'singing section' in our first season back up under Rafa. One or two of them on sershul media were always pretty full on about how much they loved and supported the club yet I was always alone after KO for about five to ten minutes and similarly after HT as well as they loved their overpriced bottles of whatever they were drinking more. Also recall a prominent Tory, hairy cornflake look-a-like who was near me one game who was never off his phone. (Looked like he was having the time of his life at the match on his twitter feed after the game though).

1) aye it was. 2) aye, noticed a couple of dozen headed out from where I was on the aisle towards the rear of block s and t, odd behaviour I must say. 3) not many bigger critics of it than me, what would you replace it with though? are you linking 2&3 together? last season when we played forest on boxing day I was in the very back row of block t, there was somebody stood by my seat, but the one next to it was empty, bloke in his early 30s at my seat asked me if I'd mind having the empty one which was his as he wanted to stand next to his mates. told him he could fill his boots. he went on to add that the seat I'd bought was the only one in the entire back row which wasn't 'owned' by a season ticket holder, I wasn't sure whether he was having a little pop or not. anyway, long before the start of the 9 minutes of added time the ONLY fucker left stood in back row of block t was me.

What do you get out of this? I don't get it. If you are an NUFC fan, what joy do you get out of belittling players from a team you support? If you are not an NUFC fan, what joy does it bring you to pretend to be one? Either way, it just seems a bit desperate.

It some respects, it is good to reflect on Gordon and how he is playing. It is also good to compare him to people in the past and ASM is the natural choice as he was replaced. Gordon was an odd signing for me, I wasn't keen. He didn't seem to stand out as a great player for me. If anything, I thought he was a cheat who just like to dive. Like ASM, he seems to be really keen to engage with the fans. They both seem to be keen to share some of their wealth. I remember being impressed with a video of him supporting a food bank in Liverpool. It seemed like a genuine support rather than a PR stunt (he knew what to buy for a start). He seems like a human. If we are going to compare him on his performances to past players, as well, then he also stacks up well. There could be an argument that he has had his purple patch and this is his level. I doubt it. However, if it is his level, unlike Miggy, he still offers a lot in every game and clearly makes a positive difference in each match.

Not really I think the trouble is eg in this list I’ve not seen any of them apart from Die Hard, and that’s a film set at Christmas about a terrorist incident 🤓 I’m just not motivated to watch anything festive. I can’t remember the last time I watched Christmas Day tv. I was in the gallowgate for a game last season, can't remember who it was against now and there was 2 blokes in their mid 20s sat next to me. i have no idea whether they were season ticket holders or members to be fair, however if they were the latter they'd pulled off some minor miracle as I struggle to get 1 in the ballot never mind 2 together! anyway, they spent the entire match showing each other videos on their phones of some rave they'd been to the night before. weird cunts.

Joking apart, ASM is clearly a good person and clearly not as good a player as AG10. He was a joy in the Ashley/Bruce era but that's gone, as has he. Ginola was probably my favourite player ever but he's gone too. Definitely wouldn't have been a Howe player also.
