Also, for a manager who should have been sacked last month, Eddie Howe keeps breaking all of our unwanted records10 points

If this club is ever going to achieve anything, there has to be a moment when we start winning games like this. And by 'games like this' I mean situations where we are the better team but can't climb the psychological mountain that is required to beat a team like Man Utd when we need to. The ability to visualise ourselves as 'better'. As winners. The club has, IMO, always struggled with this in the entire time I've known it. One day we have to shake that off, we have to leap into the game confident that we are better, that we are deserving, and that we will win. I don't know if tomorrow is the day we do that, but it is an opportunity.9 points

If we're gonna batter them, I hope we're a couple to the good by half time so Keane can get his squeaky voice on. "Yer playin fer Man Yanited. Diss isn't Tattenham. Diss is Man Yanited yer playin fer. Dese players are a disgrace."7 points

I was there. I am that soldier ☺️ We’re favourites tonight and that never, ever suits us regardless of owners, managers or players…but @Rayvin is right and it applies to Saturday as well… this is our chance to show we are better than the failing Man Utd or the frankly bizarre club that is Tottenham Hotspur.. we can show we belong in the elite with MCFC, LFC, CFC and AFC… Forest are a fuckin joy this season and our three points there and putting them out of the League Cup now look really solid results but it’s unlikely they’ll maintain this form unless they break PSR next month. It really is on these next two games as to what might happen in the rest of the season. Pivotal.6 points

Jimmy Carter was the last Prez who was a genuinely good bloke. His passing probably won’t be hugely noted, unfortunately , which is a shame, because as I said, he was the last of the good guys. RIP Jimmy I am ridiculously pissed, but, tomorrow, when I’m sober, I’ll say the same thing- bloke was a genuinely good lad. RIP6 points

Amorim is a good coach, but Ratcliffe has brought him in at a time where he's on a hiding to nothing. They should have binned Ten Haag at the end of last season. He gets his squad back from the international break and has a game every three days from then on. You can't impart new ideas or strategies when your training work is all about keeping match fitness up for the next game around the corner. At this point all he can do is rely on individual moments of brilliance which is all ETH every did and they've not got their most reliable provider of those for the match against us because Fernandes is banned. Ratcliffe is proving to be a fucking joke of an owner/chairman/whatever he actually is. An absolute skinflint with no understanding of how to handle the optics of being a big football club or any idea how to turn the ship around. Short changing his lowest paid staff constantly, disrespecting the clubs history all whilst pissing away millions on players chosen by a manager he doesn't want, only to fire the bloke and replace him at the worst time of the season to do it. He's Mike Ashley on Ozempic, trying to "businessman" his way out of a hole.6 points

Shitting it throughout the second half. Some credit has to go to Amorim for identifying the problem and immediately remedying it, but the damage was done (and it was his own barmy idea to select Casemiro and Eriksen in midfield against Bruno, Joelinton and Tonali - anyone could've seen how that was about to proceed.) But we've done it again. 3 points off 4th, 5 off 2nd, Eddie Howe's black and white army!4 points

Aye, this is game management. They had 15 mins at the start of the half, as they should, they're Man United at home, and we've seen the game out really comfortably. By Sunday evening Amorim will have lost 6 out of 7 in the PL.4 points

TT legend @Happy Face (if you see this come and say hello, your stats were better than Gemmill and Dave put together) produced an “underachieving league table” and we were top by miles, I think Hamburg were second and Southampton third. It was basically lack of trophy x average crowd and we frankly piss it across the entire European continent4 points

we've had a shitload of statement games in my newcastle supporting lifetime. the only time we've come out on top was a couple back in 1969 and I was that young then that I can now barely remember them. there is no club in world football that can rival us for rabbit caught in headlights syndrome. it's fucking tragic man!4 points

We should batter these tonight really. They've been getting by on moments of individual brilliance, and two of the main sources of that (Rashford and Fernandes) won't be playing, unless he shits himself and brings Rashford back. Let's see what happens, but if nothing else it's a very different feeling going to their place these days, than it has been for the last 30 years.4 points

Keane's good for a little chuckle when the dummy comes out when they lose but purely for his attitude on us I can't abide the arrogant cunt. No doubt his sendings off plus his stint at the mackems have helped his attitude.3 points
