  1. A day out at the stadeyem of Light.

  2. "Well how was that, Evan? Your first game at the Stadium of light as a Sunderland player, tell us about your emotions?" Evan: "Well to be honest I haven't quite took it alll in yet, before I came up here I was told all about the special atmosphere they can create up here and you kinda think yeah, ok, but you have to actually experience it, I mean, no disrespect to Brighton fans who were great, but when we played shit you'd get a smattering of boos but here? Wow! It's deafening, even if we've done ok but just drawn and let in a late equaliser the whole crowd go crazy, one even patted me on the shoulder when I went down the tunnel saying he hoped I'd fuck off back to the IRA and never play again for his club! When I explained I only came on for the last two minutes as a sub he just carried on booing in my face. You don't get many fans like these up here, they're a special breed, I even thought it was amazing the confetti reception the team got at the beginning of the match but thought it strange when it was still happening during the game but when some blew off the pitch near the dugout I was amazed at how fanatical they were as they'd even utilised stuff like crisp packets and mars bars wrappers to show their appreciation. Even the black opposition striker had a lump in his throat when he saw how the crowd's friendly chanting towards him had moved his watching mother to tears. I'll never forget them when the loan spell ends." "Will that be at the end of season?" Evan: "No, it'll be next week when I ask Brighton to terminate my loan deal."

  3. Goodbye Miggy. He always gave 100% and had one amazing season that propelled us to CL football. He'll be welcomed back with open arms in the Toon.

  4. They are currently laughing off rumours of £20m bids for the better Bellingham. Obviously, they are being realistic and think £15m is more appropriate and definitely aren’t making claims that he’s worth £60m.

  5. @PaddockLad Here's at least some of the Tonali celebration. Check the kid right in the melee who spends the entire time fiddling with his phone so he can take a selfie of himself with the celebrations. He gets it sorted just as it all disperses.

  6. He and ASM were standout players in a poor team. He played out of his skin when we finished fourth. He always had pace to burn but he managed to add some absolute wonder goals in the process. Great memories. He worked as hard as anyone else in the team. Shame he couldn’t keep that form going and it is clearly the right time for him to move on but I loved his attitude. Good luck with the next chapter Miggy!

  9. Remember when Havertz went two footed and completely off the ground on Longstaff and got away with it? I don’t recall the outrage back then. In fact I distinctly remember Carragher calling it “daft but no more than a yellow” or something like that. Had the roles been reversed they’d be crying for a lengthy ban like Keane on Haaland’s dad.

  10. Micah Richards was on about how Arsenal fans think they're being targeted and went on to say "well they have been on the wrong end of a few REALLY bad ones". But the truth is, they haven't. A lot of the ones they insist are bad, are actually perfectly good decisions like Joelinton's goal or Rice getting sent off, or this latest one. But they make such a fucking song and dance about it, and these pundits are so predisposed to take their side, that it gets into people's heads that they're the wronged party. And all the while, the stuff that really makes a difference IN THEIR FAVOUR, like it taking three yellow card offences until one of their players actually gets booked, and which they benefit from every fucking game.... That just gets lost in the "woe is us" narrative when once in a blue moon they insist a big one has gone against them. They can all FUCK OFF, as can the thick arsehole pundits who just love getting onnthe referee's case about anything.

  11. Aye. I was saying to someone at work this morning, if you take exactly the screenshot you've shown above, that's a red. It doesn't matter that it's a glancing blow or that it didn't end up being that serious. The lad has gone in with his studs halfway up the bloke's calf. It's a red. Shearer, Lineker, and every other cunt that's calling it the worst decision they've ever seen needs to be shown that screenshot and then they need to fuck off.

  12. "To whom it may concern, If I wanted to watch a drunken Irishman wank off his dog, I'd pay my grandad a visit. Neville and the hockler are a disgrace too. Their "patter" should be taken out back and put out of it's misery along with 'Keano's' dog. You should be ashamed. Not even the canny enough blart can pull me back from cancelling my sub. Murdoch looks like someone drained the meat out of a sharpei, and - despite his millions - definitely has an android box with kodi on it - not that I am a grass or owt like that - but he doesn't even use it for sports devil - he's watching questionable pornos - the fucking haunted trifle. Anyways back to the point, I've got myself a fire stick and the lad at the bar who used to sell pirate blueys out of the back of a black transit has set me up for 40 bar a year. So instead of watching the red club shite now I'm watching Robbie Earle butcher the English language on some American stream. Suck the fattest part of me shaft and gan bust you daft cunts, because I've already cancelled me standing order. Yours in Christ, HMHM"

  17. I love this claim that he's only sent him off so that he misses the second leg of the semi final against us, since Oliver is an NUFC fan Arsenal fans starting to challenge Liverpool for the lifetime tinfoil hat award.

  18. Been lods of shit on Twitter the last couple of days after the sky reporter started his report on Isak's second goal talking about how Arsenal fans want him. I see Downie has chirped in defending his colleague, which I get, but then tried to claim there haven't been loads of instances of sky trying to push him to Arsenal (or Chelsea or Manure or Liverpool or even Spurs ffs) to which he's been immediately shot down. The most disappointing thing he's said though, is that if it was his team, he'd see it as a compliment. Why the fuck would we see it as compliment when they're suggesting we can't keep one of our players away from a team that's only a couple of places above us in the league and who we have a massive cup semi final against next week. Yet again it shows the unbelievable bias they have to the former top six clubs. They aren't remotely interested in promoting any clubs. I find it more and more difficult every day to bare sky sports. Glad I pay them fuck all.

  21. It's nice that he got the chance to go out with a win and the away support singing his name after the game. Good luck to him. He'll be a top player in the US league.

  22. If it was Howe or someone like McKenna they would have a charge against him. No fucker from the media will come out and call the Lego haired cunt either because they never did with that red nosed CUNT Fergie either.

  23. Bye bye Miggy. You took the same approach to learning English as you took to kicking the ball with your other foot, but as mentioned you had that mental run where you couldn't miss and it was great. Good luck in Atlanta. 👍

  24. They need to clamp down on this sort of shit from Arteta and other managers. Throw the book at them. Totally ungracious and heavy on blame culture without looking at themselves.

  26. I must've missed all this pundit angst when Wolves seemed to be getting shafted every other week last season with VAR but he who squeals loudest etc.

  27. They'd probably try and claim his Hat-trick against us last season like they do with Pickford's England penalty shootout heroics, Hendo's medals, Amad's Man U goals, etc.

  30. On the Miggy sale, we don't need a replacement or upgrade for him, what we want is a replacement and upgrade for Murphy, and on current form that'll have to be one hell of a player and will be very expensive. We won't buy someone who'll walk into the team this month IMO, apart from the fact that would do nowt for morale, any new arrival will have to be Eddie'd so wouldn't play early. I suspect they'll go for a young Dibling type in the summer.

  31. I see a Chinese AI is causing mass panic among the American tech bros. As much as it really doesn't help artists and writers if the tech itself gets cheaper and more widely available, it'll still be quite funny to see these self-proclaimed visionaries and innovators realise that, when your entire business model is based on stealing stuff that other people have created, guess what - anyone else can steal it too. 🤯

  34. This is Murphy's 7th season at the club and it's only the last 3 months he's managed to play consistently well. We've been here before with Almiron.

  35. Aye, speaks volumes for his attitude and aptitude that the club that sold him to us want him back 6 years on. Wish him all the best.

  36. He was the first bright spark for a long time when he signed for us. His ability often didn’t match his efforts but he was still a lot better than a lot fans said. They will move on to a different scapegoat though.
