The good thing with City historically is that they'll determine their price and if it doesn't align with the other club's valuation they'll move on to other targets. They may then do the same.in a subsequent window but they won't use the media, pundits etc to get their own way. Would much rather do business with a club like that.9 points

The problem is we've looked shit for a lengthy period of time now. May we were awful. 90th min pen against Brighton salvaged a point. Lucky to beat 10 man Chelsea at home. Loss to Arsenal followed by an utterly horrendous performance against Everton at home. A really shit pre season. If Carlisle doesn’t count, not even sure we won a pre season game or looked close? Haven't looked right since the season started. Howe has been the best manager we've had since Robson & done something he couldn't achieve. What we are finding out is the squad is not good enough (best it's been for ages), or Howe is struggling to adapt formation/tactics to juggle this many games. Could well be both. Players won't wait forever while we make 2 steps forward then 1 step back & it'll be interesting to see if PIF wait in the summer, if we finish mid table. We've grown with Eddie and have to have faith that he can grow with us. He was shafted in the summer and doesn’t deserve getting fired this year, not by any stretch. I think the worst thing that could happen is we finish in the Europa League/conference league. Rather miss out totally on Europe if not the champs league. Will give this squad the ability to grow next season with multiple additions. Who we lose in that period though might well kick us back further. PSR has stung us tremendously too but sitting moaning about it will achieve nothing. PIF need to start getting creative and fighting back here.8 points

Honestly rather sell half the team than lose Howe. He isn’t the lad having rushes of blood or missing headers or losing his man at corners or missing sitters or flattering to deceive but delivering little.7 points

Here man, you utter waste of breath. You’ve been on here since 2018, never made a single post of positivity in all that time, didn’t make a single post during our cup winning game, and you think we don’t know you’re a fucking mackem troll, and a poor one at that. Get yourself a life mate, go to the Glass Centre or something, but don’t waste our time here. Enjoy your win today, it was shit and you needed one of our lads to fuck up to get it for you. You know that you’ll always be inferior, so embrace it.6 points

A contributory factor in the apparent lack of a plan b is the fact we have virtually no training sessions in which to work on anything, it's match to match with probably only light work in between. That doesn't help at all. That said if the players could execute plan a, never mind b, the point would be moot. Biggest issue (for me) is that our ability to find a final ball remains notably absent.5 points

The only thing I’d criticise Howe for would be him not having an effective alternative style , after the high-intensity press. Seasons like this where we’ve been active in all competitions shows the need for a plan/squad B, and we’ve been shown to be lacking in that. But I’m a long, long, way off doubting his position as our gaffer.5 points

I'm with you mate. Missed the entire game in the Live Theatre, scheduled exactly for the match. Looked at my phone, shrugged, and walked out onto the wonderful quayside with our great river and historic buildings and bridges, not some post industrial shit heap TOWN like Sunderland. Not even being bitter, I simply don't give a fuck about them. They've won their final, watch them fall apart now. We are all that matters to them, we are their entire identity.5 points

Just caught the game on MotD and it’s noticeable that while Brighton were chasing the game Liverpool had two counter attacks. The first you can see Isak when Liverpool regain the ball but he shows no willingness to get up the pitch and arrives long after the chance has gone. The second one he’s absolutely nowhere to be seen with OAPs Andy Robertson and VVD the ones actually breaking forward. Both attacks are the type you would say are perfect for Isak with plenty of space to break into and defenders committed up the field. I’m relieved that we’ve sold him because if he were putting in that sort of performance for us this season we’d all be convinced that’s he’s continued to huff and down tools because he’s been so anonymous it’s incredible.5 points

It's still 2025, the year we won our first domestic trophy in 70 years, and the Howe Out list is growing.4 points

Don’t really see the value in given a player who is carrying an injury that’s hampering his performance a cameo at the end of a game the team were cruising in. But he’s a Liverpool player who they’ve broken the British transfer record to sign so it’s important to maintain the litany of excuses.4 points
